Hm…I think $1500 for airfare, $800 on accomodations, and around $150/day miscellaneous spending (x8=$1200), so I guess $3500. I accidentally voted $4000-5000, though, oops!
    Went to France.

A little over 8k to go to Kauai and Maui for 8 nights. Would have been just shy of 10k if we hadn’t used our miles for our flights.

I’m really surprised at these numbers, I’m the first $10,000 + vote and that’s not even near the amount. I suppose maybe it’s because I’m from the Uk and our weather is bad so were jetting off into the sun.

Our honeymoon is booked for two weeks in an all inclusive resort in the Maldives. The plan is sun, snorkelling and spa treatments 🙂

Well we’ve already spent about $6K on hotels, airfare, excursions, so I’d guess we’ll be like $7K after feeding ourselves for 9 days.

We will probably spend almost as much on the honeymoon as we are on the wedding! But 3 weeks in Africa is totally worth it!

just booked…Ireland for 7 days, 6 nights. Includes: hotels, breakfast each morning, car rental and airfare

    ~$3100

Add food and entertainment onto that, it will probably be about $4000.

Airfare- $316 pp straight thru to Mexico. Well like 6 months after we booked, all the airlines did away with nonstop flight to Mexico for that time so that freaking sucks. So now our 3hr 15 min flight, we have an hour layover in Houston Yell. So that really sucks!

AI 5* resort for 7 days

    Travel Insurance

But that is where we are having our private wedding ceremony as well. So we were really happy when we found out that

Our room category included their basic wedding package which includes:

    • On site wedding coordinator

    • Prep of B & G outifts

    • Dressing assistant

    • Officiant

    • Bouquet & Boutonnaire

    • Wedding cake & Champagne

    • Late checkout

    • 15% off spa services

    • 2 free nights for Anniversary
    • All that would be $949 if you bought it outright

And free Honeymoon package which includes:

    • Champagne on arrival

    • Fresh flowers and exotic fruit platter in room upon arrival

    • Champagne breakfast in bed the first morning after arrival

    • Tension Release Massage for two in our couple massage suite (25 minutes)

    • Choice of either a European Facial or a Salt Glow Scrub body treatment for two (25 minutes)

    • Private beachfront dinner one evening- upon return from dinner you will find a romantic candlelit path. (includes a bottle of wine and dinner for two)

    • Private petit fours each evening at turn down service
    • All that would be $949 if you bought it outright as well

That all was $4002… That seems ridiculous to me sometimes!! Maybe it’s because we are parents and looking at that $4002 all I see is the lists of things we could do as a family instead :-/

If I had to do it all over again, I think we would have spent only half that. All I have to say, is when we go on this “weddingmoon” in August it better be worth every penny or else I have no idea how I will get over spending that much money… lol!!

We’re fortunate to have points and miles thanks to my husband’s job.

That being said, I priced it out and if we were to pay for our honeymoon out of pocket it’d be $45,675.

We are spending about $4k between random non-miles airfare, spending money and food.

I voted 6k but that doesn’t include 2600.00 in airfare that a good family friend gave us for our wedding gift. We have so far spent between 4 and 5k on accommodations and travel between islands in Fiji. That price includes food eacH day. There isn’t much for shopping or restaurants in the areas we are going but assume another 1k or so for diving, kayaking, et…  Ive had a little anxiety about the price but keep reminding myself it’s our honeymoon!

My parents are paying for the honeymoon, but vacationing has always been a splurge to your hearts desire type thing for my father, so he’s spoiling us just the same.

But knowingly, its over 10k. First class to and from Mexico, and 9 nights/10 days in the Presidential Villa at El Dorado Seaside Suites in Riviera Maya, but the perks were there to upgrade from the honeymoon suites.
