Just over $1000 including taxes. His band is platinum.

cherry3b :  I’d budget depending on his tastes and level of responsibility. My husbands first band was $500, 2nd was $300, 3rd was $7 off Amazon. We’ve only been married 2 1/2 years

$20 on ebay but a sleek black tungsten carbide ring. Hubby loves that it never scratches, and has a nice weight to it. Our jeweller actually said not to purchase from them if we aren’t going with a precious metal. Much more cost-effective to just order online for the same material.

We’re not married, but he wanted his own engagement ring. He picked it out himself from Etsy. About $450.

It’s handmade from an uncirculated American Eagle coin, 22K gold. We asked for the coin from the year we met.

cherry3b :  2k on a gray gold hammered ring…. Maybe by Kenny G? I dunno. First ring he actually liked, so I bought it.

We haven’t bought it yet but the quotes have been coming back around 2k. He’s extravagent. If he had been a wife, I’d probably be dropping 20-30k. LOLOL

desertgypsy :  My DH’s ring is also from Etsy, with wood on the inside – rosewood inside, titanium outside, and at almost 1 year in, the waterproof sealant on the wood is coming off and it’s starting to smell. Looking for a new ring with no wood on it, lol. Luckily neither of us is particularly sentimental about replacing it.

ETA the original ring cost about $230. Looking at replacements in the $75 range

i remember being surprised by its cost.. about 700 after a discount.

Its a platinum band with a rose cold center/bottom (my rings are rose gold and while he wanted platinum for himself he wanted ours to have a matching element <3 such a romantic)

He wanted a silicone one because of his line of work, so I spent ~$12 on Amazon. I don’t think there’s a “normal” amount to spend, just like female engagement rings, because so much of it is down to personal ideals and preferences.

A little under $2k. It’s 18k yellow gold and has diamonds going around it. He spent a lot on my first ring so I wanted his to be special too.
