I spent $200.  It was more than I wanted to spend, and it was kind of accidental.  I went to pick up my dress on Saturday, and wanted to browse the accessories as I hadn’t picked those out yet, and the consultant brought this veil over that was just SO perfect for my dress.  I tried it on and fell in love.  Then only AFTER deciding I had to have it did I see the price tag 🙁

I just purchased one for $60 on etsy. I’m going to attempt to add my own floral appliques and save myself about $200.

had it custom made by my seamstress for around $70 (but stupidly was talked into buying a bunch of extra tulle by the bridal shop first which was another $40 something and didn’t even get used ….still sitting in my closet in the bag now!)

should have just gotten something on etsy or ebay for $25 in the end since what I wanted was super simple (finger tip single layer no bling or anything)

I made one, and it cost about $50CAD including a couple mistake veils and I have another 40 yards of tulle leftover!

I spent $50 on my veil from Etsy. Its a simple tulle cathedral length veil. I hated all the ones they put on me in the store and Im not sure I’ll wear the one I bought, we’ll see what it looks like on when I get it. I feel like the veils I tried on make my head look weird but I’ve always wanted to wear one so hopefully I like the Etst veil.

I got mine on AliExpress for $17, fully expecting to just throw it away but figured I’d give it a shot, and I am so incredibly happy with it! Waltz length, ivory, little pearls and crystals along the edge, and SO soft. Really surprisingly soft. I couldn’t be happier with it!!

The one I initially tried on at the salon was $650.00  I found one I liked on etsy for 150 but i didn’t like it on me so I was a little unsure but when I picked up my dress the week before they had me put on a a cathedral length veil that was just plain, my dress was full of bling so she said we shouldn’t compete for attention and I ended up loving the plain one it was $79….now if only I could resell the etsy one!

I was obsessed with a $300 veil but I just couldn’t bring myself to buy it. Then I found a Melissa Sweet veil on sale for $22 and my decision was made for me! I don’t regret it.

Mine was a last minute decision but one of my best! I tried some expensive pretty boring ones in the bridal shop and they did nothing for me at all. My dress was a plain tulle number and the cheapest in the designer’s collection. It needed much more jazzing up than the average dress. I went on Etsy and found a woman in the Ukraine who made me a custom design. It was cathedral length with a heavy lace border all the way round.. ..about $150. Every time I see my photos I am eternally grateful to that lady!  Worth every penny because it was the only ‘decorative feature’ on my dress.

submart:  my mother made mine, so I don’t think I actually spent anything on it, but I know it was under 20 – just birdcage netting, a hair comb, feathers and hot glue.  Plus I think some seed pearls and a button she already had.  Veils look pretty but I’m blown away by the expense and would never buy one for myself.  Also anything but a bircage would have looked silly with my dress
