How much did you spend on your veil? If you splurged, was it worth it.

I just got mine tonight for $99. It is ivory, matches the lace on my dress, is sparkle tulle, and studded with Swarovski Crystal’s. I was never a veil girl until I tried it with my dress!

I can relate. Mine was a present from my mom, it was $1K cathedral veil. I had a massive ball gown and it matched the design exactly with vintage embroidery and crystals. We splurged for some things and cut back on others. I should note it will likely be passed to my sister as it has special significance to our family and hopefully continued being used as a special family tradition. The veil was worth every penny and then some. It was truly spectacular and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. I would have regretted it.

I also had a $10 plain short veil for the reception so it was easy to dance. If its something you would regret, I would get the veil you really love and minimize the budget elsewhere, thats what we did

Same for shoes, I thought I could find something for $50 that was decent and plain and I was happy with that, but I needed a low height heel that wouldn’t be bothering my feet all night. A low height heel? In bridal at the time? = Premium price. Actual price was over 3x that. From what I experienced anyway, everything in reality costs more than you think it will since its specialized

$300 for a tulle cathedral length veil that matches my dress. Not as expensive as what they’re offering but I was shocked at how much veils cost! Nonetheless I’m still happy with it.

kelbrimale :  I don’t know exactly how much mine was as I did a deal with the shop and got my dress, applique, veil and tiara for £1000. But I love a good veil! But I would say that it’s not worth spending a fortune on considering you will only wear it for a few hour.

I got mine off Etsy and paid $100. I am glad I didn’t spend more as I ripped it off right after the ceremony and threw it in a corner. Plus my officiant stepped on it during our ceremony and ripped it. If I had spent more, I would have been sad. It was so annoying to deal with the super long veil.

Agree with pp on getting it cheap (below $100) if you just want it plain or with a simple edge or even with crystals.

For me I had a very specific lace I wanted that could only be ordered from the designer who designed it. I paid $2500. It’s a horrible price but I got what I wanted and hopefully I’ll sell it to recoup some money back later, but I don’t think I regret it.

I paid $200. It’s a Toni Federaci though. Cathedral length with crystals and pearls originally $600, I got it at a huge discount. I’m extremely happy with it.
