onelovelybride: The venue is in Texas. It contains hardwood floors, chandeliers, a kitchette, and a backyard. There really isn’t going to much to decorate, that is why I chose it! Lol

akkaer1: I’ve gotta say, it sounds like you’re getting your venue for quite a bargain — but of course that depends on where you live and how many guests you need to entertain. in seattle, $2,000 for all-inclusive would probably get you a partially burned down shack in a field at best.

ours was $5,000 and included tables and chairs. it was beautiful and didn’t need any decoration at all, which was very important to me. it didn’t include anything else, but we absolutely loved the space. having a great venue was the most important aspect to me — more important than the dress or anything!

Our venue is an island in the middle of Sydney harbour, so it makes it all a bit tricky. We pay one fee for the venue, ceremony, all food, all drinks, all transport (a heritage charter ferry from Circular Quay), all logistics, all wait staff, water taxis for me/BMs, special lighting to light up the tower and the trees, all furniture in the cocktail area (day beds etc), dancefloor, all cleaning fees, and a National Park Ranger who has to be there, all vendor meals.

All up that is around $40,000 which in Sydney CBD is pretty standard. We did go for an awesome venue, though!

Our wedding venue includes the space for both the ceremony and reception, with a general breakdown of costs below;

 • Food package (3 x canapes – three courses alternate serve – cake) = $72.00pp
 • Drinks package (soft drinks, beer, red and white wine, champagne toast for five hours) = $32.50pp
 • Marquee use for reception = $500.00

As we are having 75 guests, the total cost for our venue is $7837.50, however I am also hiring chairs to the cost of $1000.00, so our total venue cost would be around $8837.50.

I think we were lucky with timing though, as shortly after locking our venue in, the cost per head went up around $13.00!

We’re paying about $4000 but that includes: tables, chairs, food, drinks (partial open bar), bar on a beautiful terrace, DJ, lounge area, waiting staff we can use the venue for 24 hours. A TOTAL steal on a beautiful (but plain) beachfront restaurant. We’re spending about $1300 on decor and about $500 on our cake.

We’re paying about $1000 for our ceremony location (with a $200 refundable deposit so a final cost of approx $800) which includes 24hr use of a beautiful outdoor theatre at a botanical garden and chairs.

Our ceremony venue is $850 for 2.5 hours. Our reception venue is roughly $3330 for 3.5 hours. Both includes everything – chairs, linens, food, glassware, etc.

The place that is my #1 is $3500 for the rental fee for reception, $1000 ceremony rental fee, $4500 (based on 100 guests) for food, $4000 (100 guests) bar package, for a 4 hour reception. They provide chairs, tables, all dish and flatware. They have a dance floor already outside. And $250 cake cutting fee. It’s a restaurant in Chicago on the River.

We’re paying $650 for the whole day. We are allowed to go there any time during the week before the wedding and set up. We also have the day after to clean up. The venue includes tables, chairs, and a full kitchen for our caterer. It has a big reception room and then a porch overlooking the lake (with a view that is to die for) for cocktail hour.
