diamondbeez :  My dress would have been £2150 but I bought a sample so it was £1399. My alterations are going to be £280.

Way more than I ever thought I would spend on a dress but it was the one. lol

bluecutie00 :  Are those pictures actually the dresses you paid that much for? Because if so oh my goodness you killed it!

Mine was $1600. Haven’t had alterations yet (my wedding is still a year away!). I’d been hoping to keep my dress under $1000 but I fell head over heels for the one I ended up with! πŸ™‚

$850 (AUD). My budget was originally $500 but the thought of trying to find a dress online/second hand was stressing me out so much that I bumped it up to $1000 in the hope I’d find something in a store. Still a crazy amount for me personally to spend on a dress for one day but I love it and I’m not stressed anymore! I only have blurry phone photos unfortunately πŸ™ I’ll come back once I have better photos if this thread is still going!

My dress was a little over $300. I got it from. A bridal salon going out of business, it was their sample. It’s a Sophia tolli loraina which I fell in love with immediately. I scoured the internet for sales because at the time my fiance had just been laid off so I couldn’t justify thousands of dollars on a dress. Alterations are $175, she put in a corsetted back because the back was really too revealing.

The ring I designed and David klass worked his magic. It was $1450 plus stones. I felt like I’d rather we spend more on the ring than the dress because I’ll wear that every day

$217 from China, alterations and adding the bustle were free since I didn’t with help from my sister.

No regrets,  I got exactly the dress I was envisioning while trying on dresses in salons. None of the dresses I found in local dress shops were modest enough,  really low cut or missing sleeves and the sleeves they had were see through. While the dresses were a lot of fun to try on,  modesty was non-negotiable, no matter what the sales people said. I’m not saying there was anything wrong with the dresses I tried on,  but a high neckline and back and opaque sleeves were my only requirements and any dress I bought in person would have required extensive alteration,  plus I didn’t want to pay a lot of money for a dress that wasn’t really what I wanted anyway.

I’m still waiting on professional pics,  but here’s a shot from my sister on her phone.

My dress budget was $1, 500, but I came in under budget! The dress was $1k but I had to pay a rush fee so for that and tax it was $1300. It’ll be in at the end of June I can’t wait! I ordered the Mori Lee Marrisa in ivory over light gold.

I think it was around $1,500! Got it from Alfred Angelo (literally picked up my dress like a week before the whole closing scandal happened 😱) and I absolutely loved it. The dress was one of the most important things to me when planning the wedding. 😊

£2000/$2700 down from £3800/$5100 in a sample sale πŸ™‚ alterations will be about £250/$335. Waaaaay more than I’d budgeted, but I won my photography, sooo….

Mine was about $2700 including tax. I haven’t had it altered yet which will be at least $500 more.
