I wanted to stay under $10k with the dress, veil, and alterations. I got close! I think it ended up being about $11k in the end, but I don’t remember the final number. The dress itself was $7500.

sapphire27 :  we are using European Lace. I am not sure if the skirt will be tulle  though. I think it might be dupion silk. The designer is Rosa Clara which is a Spanish designer. Their dresses are just stunning.

I got my dress at BHLDN for $800. Haven’t done alterations yet but I imagine it’ll be another $200

The one I really like is about 1500USD, but I’m a cheapskate lol so I didn’t get it (although my mom force to pay it).

I go through the sale rack and found may dress at 550USD including the alteration (not much needs to be done), and my mom made my veil!!!!

diamondbeez :  For the civil/courthouse wedding, I plan on just getting a long white or ivory Bridesmaid or Best Man chiffon dress. So, I budget $200-$250 maximum for that. For our church wedding, it will be a more traditional wedding dress but I wanna keep it under $1000.

nayjle :  twentytwenty :  Thanks ladies! I love a good deal too!! We honestly could have afforded the big wedding and a decent dress budget, but we weren’t overly interested in burning thru $50k in 5 hours. So, I cancelled plans for our large wedding and paired it down to an intimate affair with a modest $5,000 budget. And hence, an even smaller dress budget.

I loved my dress and I felt just as amazing in that $99 dress as I did in the $2000 dress in the bridal shop. But if you thought my outfit was cheap, don’t even get me started on DH’s attire! We bought (not rented) his suit on sale for $50. And he had a store credit. Paid only $15 out of pocket!! His entire outfit from top to bottom, including shoes was less than $150. And he looked freaking amazing. And he’s already worn his suit twice since then.

My philosophy is that you should always look like a million bucks, but you should never have to spend that much. We like to “ball on a budget.” 💵 Lol
