Ohhhh. Your wedding looked like a dream. Very pretty!  I’m so sorry it didn’t work out.  But I know you were smart and did what was best for you. Thank you for being so open and truthful.  You hardly see that nowadays.

trinibride0417 :  thank you so much!!! It was a hard time, I really honestly loved him so much with all my heart, but you can’t really built a life based on lies.

I always tell people the truth, hoping it will help someone not to make the same mistake, to walk away before a wedding, before 2 families come together.

Thanks for the worlds bee, I feel so happy now, working on myself only. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

This is based on New Jersey pricing which is already overpriced.

    $40K – venue & Food

$5K – photography, video, and photobooth

    $5K – flowers –> center pieces (11 high, 11 low) 4 cases for church, 17 boutenieres, 15 bouquets, 2 coursages.

    $2K – DJ, lighting, etc

    $3K – limo

    $500 – makeup and hair

$500 – shuttle from hotel to venue

$2500 – dress (purchased by my mom)

$450 – shoes purchased by my brother

    $500 – favors

    $500 – gifts

and im sure there are things I haven’t even thought of yet.

ours is abnormally expensive because of where we live :/

We spent about $13,000 – excluding the honeymoon but including our lodging, the lodging of some friends and family (it was a DW), the dress, the rings, and so on. The planner was the biggest total expense, as she sorted the venue, food, drinks, decor, photographer, paperwork, music, and a whole bunch of other stuff – in total our payments to her came to around $9,000. Worth every penny!

I voted less than 10k, we eloped and had a small at home reception. I think including honeymoon it was a little over 10k, without maybe 7k.

Thinking it will end up around $50k to my horror. To think, that could be a downpayment on a house, yikes! Luckily my parents are paying (but because of that, they are getting to call most of the shots, haha).

Expecting the honeymoon to cost $5k, not including flights because we will get that on points.

Dot8791 :  We actually got a really really good rate for our videographer/photographer.  Thinking about how much other’s spent on just their photographer makes me second guess my choice.  However, we found them because of the videos and then even after looking at their photos again online (just now), I don’t think we made the wrong decision.  8-10 hours with 2 photographers (1 leaves after ceremony) and 1 videographer, 1 unmaned camera plus a drone – $3100.

njpartyof2 :  No in the south.  Unfortunately, I didn’t do a one-on-one up close look at their albums.  I know that that may be a no-no but I was still impressed with the tons and tons that they have on FB and website.
