Southern California wedding at a Temecula Valley winery, initial budget was about 25K. However, as quotes are coming in I am rolling up to about 30K-35K for 75-100 people. This does NOT include the honeymoon in Maui, which will be an additional 6K-8K.

So I guess total with the honeymoon we are looking at 40K-45K. It is WAY more than I intended, but every time I am faced with a decision regarding budget, I sway towards the higher quality choice. I only get one wedding, and my dad only gets to walk one daughter down the aisle. Get a friend to do the photography for 1K or hire a professional for 4K… I went with the professional. It is worth it to me to have the evening perfect. By The Way, my parents are contrubuting about a third and my Fiance and I are paying for the rest.

Budget it 10k. But we’re hoping to keep it considerably less. The priciest things are food and photography. It’ll be $20 per person if we get it catered buffet style. We’re trying to keep it at a 100 person limit. But we’re still considering catering it ourselves. Photography is gonna be $3000 by itself but includes video of the ceremony and reception. We’re still looking at photographers but that’s the average cost. It’s  $500 to rent the venue for the entire day. It this beautiful historical park with a building for the reception and lovely gazebo for the ceremony.

My dress is already bought and paid for. So I’m not counting it towards the budget. But it’s gonna be at least $500 for proper alterations. (Taking it in at the waist, putting in a bustle, hemming, cleaning, etc.) Fiance tux rental will be free because his Groomsmen are renting their’s from Men’s Wearhouse. Decorations will come in at around $1.5k. That’s including flowers. We live in eastern NC.

15kish including honeymoon. I’m in the Midwest. I orginally only wanted to spend about 10kish so I’m pretty stressed lol. It seems like the things that are less important to me are more important to my Fiance & vice versa so finding places to cut has been difficult. He orginally said he just wanted a plain gold band but really likes this one we found for $500. I’m not going to ask him to compromise on something he’s going to wear forever though. I wanted to do a small cake to cut then just use sheet cakes to serve. That was a no. He wanted to get cheaper invites but I fell in love with these laser cut ones. I’ve finally convinced him to do a mix of fake and real flowers to save money. Our weddings in August though so hopefully we can make it until then without killing each other lol

I’m in Australia (just for some comparison) and our original budget was 40K total, looking more like 50K now. It’s a dinner reception for around 75 people in Sydney.

Budget is $40k here in Vancouver, Canada, but it’s looking like it will be more around $50k. That doesn’t include honeymoon, but does include rehearsal dinner. We’re planning for 120 people.

Los Angeles

Budget 4 k, ended up being 5k

40 guests, noon ceremony, followed by a three course luncheon reception. Having a luncheon reception cut cost in half. Los Angeles is crazy expensive, especially for weddings!

Another Australian bee here. We’re probably going to spend a little over 20k, not including our honeymoon. We’re getting married at a winery with about 110 guests – about three quarters of our budget is going towards the venue (site hire, catering, beverages, ceremony site fee are all included).

Unique717:  Approximately $75k – Long Island, NY. We’re inviting 250, but anticipating ~200. We didn’t necessarily go into it with a budget, we just knew what we wanted and went for it! We really didn’t go crazy with anything either. LI is effing expensive!

We originally set a budget of $15k for 80 people in Miami NOT including the honeymoon.

However, we recently decided to buy our first home so we have downsized A LOT. We now have a budget of $10k for 36 people in Miami INCLUDING our honeymoon.

Between 13-15K including wedding bands and hopefully honeymoon. We originally planned to spend around 10K but his parents will be covering everything over that basically since the rising cost is due to us having to buy out our reception restaurant to accommodate everyone they wanted to invite instead of just using the back event rooms as originally planned. We are in Alabama. Right at 100 guests.
