Originally was going with $20k but we are looking more at around $25k now. Cape May, NJ wedding venue for about 100 people. No honeymoon included in that but it does include everything else (I HOPE).

We are paying for the damn thing ourselves and it can be so hard to spend that much on one day! Im sure it will be worth it though 🙂

Clove86:  Girl, I am right there with you!

I’m in Chicago, but we’re getting married in the Suburbs. I’m shooting for under 20k for 130ish people. Right now we’re at 14k for the venue, food, ceremony, etc. Just need to factor in wardrobe, photographer and DJ! Not sure that will be possible with 6k, so we’ll see what happens. I don’t like thinking about this at ALL haha

70K, Alberta Canada. Roughly 250 guests…was going to be way more guests AND money (obviously, can’t have one without the other), but we hacked our list down drastically!

The norm in our families…yes, both sides…is 500+ person guest lists. So basically we’re having an intimate dinner. lol

samanthamae:  I hate to say it but that’s where our budget blew up! Our venue is $13k includes all the food, ceremony space, two nights stay, tables and chairs, linens, flatware, etc. Our DJ cost us $450 more than I had anticipated and the flowers were $1,000 more than I had originally thought (YIKES). The photogrpaher we are using is on the expensive side at $3,000 but I really thought it was important to have amazing photos so we splurged a bit….factor in wardrobe and all the misc. decor and invitations and thank you cards, yadd yadda we currently are budgeting $25k…it all adds up super fast!

Congrats!

Clove86:  Ack!! That is very scary lol…I’m definitely anticipating the possibility of going over the 20k, but hopefully not by too much! I have a cousin who works for a professional DJ company, and at least 1-2 family/friends who have photography connections, so I’m hoping it won’t get TOO crazy! But I won’t freak out if we go over…hopefully 🙂

Congrats to you, too!

We’ll be having ours either in Seattle or the SF Bay Area. I’m heading into grad school and given the loans I’ll need to pay off, we want to keep it at 10k.

£7k in London, including a 4 course sit down meal for 80 and rings. It was lovely!

Southern California, initial budget 25k but ok with 30k if it rained and we needed their 5k clear tent. Luckily no rain and overestimated here and there and ended a hair over 24k total. 108 people with 2 apps/buffet/cake/dessert bar and open bar so the venue (apps/entree/bar/rentals) was 14k of that.

Right when we first started talking we would have liked to go closer to 20k but realized that might be a bit too tight for the type of wedding we wanted.

Hudson Valley, NY here. We didn’t reallt set a budget but were being practical in our choices. we’re looking at about $15K or so. Out venue is around $7k for ceremony, cocktail hour, receptions, food, open bar, and cake for 80 people. Photographer is going to be about $2,500 and go it DJ.

Washington State, aimed to keep it as close to $10k as possible, looking like closer to $15k not including rehearsal dinner (paid by future inlaws), or my dress paid by my mom, I don’t remember at this point if my budget includes our wedding bands.  160 people.  Also does not include honeymoon or my engagement ring.

Plan is under 10K total for wedding and honeymoon/trip.

We are planning to elope to Ireland and then travel for a few weeks after around Europe. So the 10K will cover airfare, outfits, flowers, travel, food, announcements, and photographer.

The plan is for around £30k not including rings/honeymoon. Our Venue/food is taking up a massive chunk of that amount.

Original budget was 20k, now it’s at 30k. Our wedding is in Greensboro NC, third biggest city in the state of NC. (If you’ve never heard of it)

We had a small, intimate day wedding + restaurant reception for 50 people in Southern California for 10k (including rings and honeymoon).
