Unique717: My advice is stick to your budget! Spend the money you have, and have a blast! But don’t spend money you don’t have – debt is the worst!
We live in Los Angeles. Average weddings in Southern CA are probably in the $50,000 range. A few super high-end venues (with full service wedding planners included) won’t even talk to you unless your budget is $100K. Yikes!
We tried to keep our budget at $20k. We ended up spending $27k. But that cost includes the rehearsal dinner (for 18 people), the wedding (for 105 guests) and the day-after brunch (about 70 people). All 3 days cost us $27,000
The Honeymoon was an additional $3500.

We didnt set a budget but we are estimating it will cost about 40K, we live in Ontario and have 115 guest. 😀

We are going for $10k but it’s probably gonna end up being $12k.
We live in West Hollywood and will be getting married in Malibu.
We will have about 80 guests.
We’re doing a honeyfund, so we won’t be covering the cost of that.

I’m aiming for less than $1000. I’m having an intimate ceremony and a casual wedding (no wedding dress, tuxes or anything). I also won’t be having a rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, bachelorette or anything like that as well.

Before I actually started planning when we were just talking about marriage, I had a budget of $5,000 in mind. I then upped it to $7,500. After we were engaged and I had gone to a couple of wedding shows, I realized that my expectations exceeded the budget, so I increased the budget to $10,000. In the end, we spent about twice that, though including the honeymoon, but not the rings…..and this was with many, many DIYs. We’ve been married one whole month and it is all paid for. 😍😍😍 This is in Texas for about 130 people.

We agreed on 30k but it’s looking more like 35-40K. Hoping to stay closer to 35 but I doubt that will happen. Our wedding will be held in Houston.

We will probably top out around 20k. I’m currently inthe process of booking the venues and major vendors of I have a small idea, and I did dummy estimates for other items. Right now we’re sitting at 14k. Which isn’t too bad.
