Only $1750, but that is for the custom setting. Using a family diamond (a stunning 5ct pear). It is going to be a gorgeous solitaire in yellow gold. I can’t wait to see the finished ring! We designed it together, and it should be ready in a week or two… then I just have to wait till he proposes!!!

diamondbeez :  $8k on e-ring after nearly five years of marriage. $400 on wedding band I got married in! Split everything as we have joint finances.

Great thread!

My e-ring is being made, the cost was $1k for an OEC moissanite 1.5ct set in a white gold Tiffany six prong style. I sourced the jeweller, the stone and picked the style. My partner was happy with the choice if I was happy.

I have paid for it namely because my partner pays a much  bigger proportion of our everyday expenses and to start with he was not entirely happy about the money coming from me but then he agreed. I’m hapy that this arrangement suits our relationship.

We are on our second marriages, have a baby and feel that getting engaged will be done with a minimum of fuss.

We paid about 15k total. I got to pick it and I told him we were paying for it together. 🙂 but he paid for a good amount of it on his own. Center stone is 2 carat. Setting is probably 1 carat total.

My engagement ring was £1750 and my plain diamond wedding band was £1000, don’t remember what my other band was so probably just over 3k all in Xx

My engagement ring was $990 – 1 carat equivalent moissanite with pavee band in white gold. My wedding ring cost $479 for bezel set moissanites in white gold. I feel like it was a steal!

$0 for the ering (it’s an heirloom). It was appraised at 25k, so I don’t know how much that would have cost, but the main stone is 1.83 and total is 2.53, platinum.

153 for the band- just a simple dainty platinum band from james allen!

We haven’t gotten FH’s band yet, but it looks like his will cost us more than my whole set!

mrsaarthurhastie :  I’ve had a long time to build that collection lol. It’s so rare to see a marquise sapphire, and the rings you have with it are perfect. Plus you have beautiful hands and nails – and you can’t buy that!
