Mine is a 9x7mm moissy set in rose gold. All of the stones in the band of my e ring and wedding band are moissy because I really wanted all white stones look and I didn’t want any diamonds. His budget for me was 6-7k but my whole wedding set only cost $1700.

He spent ~$6600. He told me he expected to pay around $6000.

Stone is a 1.63 carat round brilliant lab diamond, J Color, VS1, Ideal Cut- Band is rose gold with ~.75tcw of two small side stones and 3/4 pave. Diamond was about $3600 and the band about $2500.

What a fascinating thread!

appraised at $16k, and I don’t know what he paid, but I do know it was muuuuuch lower than that amount because we brought the center stone (appraised at $6k) ourselves, it is an heirloom.

The jeweler is amazing at creating quality and keeping costs low, so I do know my FH had it all paid for and stress-Free before he proposed. That was very important to me, that it not be a source of stress.

(I was willing to find something reeeally cheap, and he wanted to be proud and saw it as a way of honoring me, so I trusted his judgment in the matter. we are both very happy with the result!)

and I’ve posted my lovely many many times, but here she is again:

We payed $3,000 for a .90 J VS1. The setting for engagement and wedding band was $700. Jeweler is a friend so we got an amazing deal. The set was appraised at $7600.

He paid $1400+ tax. He paid 100% of it but I picked it out.

diamondbeez :  We’re not super flashy people, and we don’t make a ton of money. I wanted an aquamarine in rose gold. My ring was $895, but he bought it during a Black Friday sale so it was about $720.

He paid just under 7k for my ring. It’s a 1.5 carat oval G color SI2 but eye clean with 2 small pear diamonds on the sides with a rose gold band. We’re lucky enough to be friends with a jeweler, otherwise this would’ve been much more expensive.

He spent a little over $20K CAD after taxes for mine! It’s a Tiffany Soleste, triple excellent, color grade E, VVS1, .80ct for the center stone and .26ct for the diamonds on the band.

I was shocked when I found out the price! Definitely didn’t expect him to spend this much on an engagement ring for me (and didn’t expect him to get me a Tiffany). Even though he can afford it, I would’ve been okay with him spending less as there are lots of other things we can do with that money… but then again, it was his money to spend the way he sees fit, he was the one who selected this ring, and ultimately I do deeply appreciate his gesture and I absolutely love my e-ring.

I only know the price of mine bc of insurance, it was $33k, 2.7 Asscher cut, D, VS2 I believe, not sure how much the baguettes weigh.

I wouldn’t have agreed to him spending that much but didn’t want to take it back either 😂
