While initial budget was up to $6K, we decided to spend $1300 so we had a bigger wedding budget. He technically paid, but our finances will be joined soon, so “we” really paid.

diamondbeez :  For our budget, we wanted to stay under $1000 CAD. We did end up going over budget. My E-ring’s price tag was 1500 CAD, but the jeweller brought it down to $1200 if we paid in cash. I went to that store 3 times to look at that ring and on the 3rd visit, I said we’d buy it if he threw in a white gold wedding band to go with it, for $100. So the total price for the set ended up being $1300 CAD (cash).

The white gold is 14K, the centre stone is 1/4 carat and there are two smaller baguette diamonds on each side. I don’t know the exact specs of the diamond, but I can tell you there aren’t any black carbon specs inside of it (which I didn’t want).

Oh! And Darling Husband paid for all of it. He would never let me pay a cent for this.

$600 for my moissy set; he was trying to stay under $1500 for it, but he would have gone up a bit more if there was something I wanted. I’m glad we have more money for our wedding budget! We don’t want to spend much in the wedding either though, since saving for a house and for a baby while he returns to school is more of a priority.

About 2k for mine. The diamonds are in an illusion setting in 18k white gold. This was a lot more then I expected though because we had already decided we wanted to have the wedding at an expensive venue and I was ok with a smaller ring to balance the cost because I can’t wear it when I’m at work anyway and I’m not much of a ring person. I usually only wear earrings as jewelry. He said when he found it, he knew it was the only ring for me because it would suit me perfectly so he saved more for it.

diamondbeez :  What did you spend and what are your specs?

Very strange to post a thread asking bees something you are not willing to disclose.
