My alterations were $200. I had it taken in from a size 8 to a 6, bust cups sewn in, and a bustle added. That price also included a hoop. It’ll depend on your area, how in-demand your seamstress is, and how close you are to your wedding date. Call around and get quotes =)

Edit: Oops, I guess I skipped your first sentence, lol. You can definitely call your seamstress and ask about how much it’ll cost.

I can’t remember the exact $ anymore, but it was around $500 or so.

I had cups sewn it, a nip tuck, bustle, and it was also hemmed. Beaded and lace dresses usually cost more – mine was lace and they had to take off the hemm, lift it, and reattach it.

$550. My dress had the neckline modified from illusion to straps, the dress taken in and hemmed, and a bustle added. Each was ~$150. My dress is lace with beading.

I live in a big, expensive city though, so that was part of the cost.

$300 or so.  I had my straps taken up, hemmed and bustle put in.

ashcan:  Mine are $111. It fits like a glove so not being taken in or even adjusted height wise. But she is doing a 15 point? bustle? It’s a big ol’ dress and apparently I need the bustle of the ages put in it lol!

ashcan:  mine cost $100. My dress fit perfectly. I just paid for the French bustle in alterations.  the bride best to me was in tears, her dress was $250 and her alterations were $700 something….so it really depends on what you are getting done.

I think it depends on where you live too.  I havent’ had mine done yet, but I was quoted $850 to take the dress in 3 sizes – and the dress has beading.  This is in New York and with a more expensive tailor, so I’d imagine that would be the MOST it would be

Mine were $815. she had to take my dress in 4 sizes, and basically had to take apart the beaded bodice and remake it so the cups would fit. she also had to hem it and do the bustle. I had lost 45 pounds from the time I bought the dress so…the dress wound up fitting like a glove and she did an amazing job, but I kinda wish I had just sold my first dress and bought a new one in the right size.

$50. I was shocked.  I had the waist taken in an inch on either side and a bustle on a beaded dress.  she did a really good job too!
