katcomer :  I don’t, I’m in the north west, it’d be worth the travel though!

katcomer :  my friend had her bridesmaid dresses altered at an Asian dress shop and they charged her £2 per dress! That’s always an option.

I paid ~$600 which included helming, down sizing, taking in the shoulders, american bustle and any subsequent alterations. The dress consultant ordered a size 4 when I wear 0 everyday (5’3″ and 93 lbs)  and I’m swimming in a dress that’s supposed to close fitting. And because the dress is so detailed, they can’t take it in from the sides and actually have to go around the zipper to take it in from the back which means my low back dress will be a mid back dress by the time they are done. It sounds like a disaster to alter so I’m praying for the best.

Mine will be $250 CAD. It includes hemming, altering the body, shorten straps, removing a part of the dress, bustle, cups… basically so much work because I am super tiny.

$326: straps shortened, taken in at bust, taken out at hips, hemmed (satin w/lace overlay) and bustle. Worth it, she did amazing work and I felt amazing.

About $550 total for hemming, taking the dress in at the waist and fitting it to my body, shortening the straps, and a three point bustle.

$234 usd, took the bust in on the sides, bustle, brought in one side of the dress to make it tighter and hemmed the lining under the dress it was longer than the actual skirt for some reason.
