7 lbs exactly and they always told me he was longer than average (which he is). He’s been consistently in the 95th percentile and he’s now 8 months old wearing 18-24 month clothing. But he was still pretty average at birth.

my son was 8 pounds 1 once (3.666kg) but had a massive head so i ended up needed a c-section. He was estimated to be over 4kg

DD was 8lbs8oz at 40w2d… I went all natura, no pain meds, no epi, and didn’t tear at all after laboring for 5 hours and pushing for one. I had a very fast recovery and was pretty much back to normal withi a wee. You truly never know!

My kids were 8.13, 8.14 and 10.12 oz. No extra scans just everone telling me how big I was (15 stone) I’m 5’1. I had natural births, no stitches but when I had my third I was in shock for a few days.

My first daughter was born at 8lbs 6 ounces. I was induced at 2pm and didn’t fully dilate til 6-7 am the next morning. I unfortunately didn’t get to experience the labor with her. She was born csection. My second daughter was born 1lb 7 and half ounces (still birth). She was easy to push and didn’t get stretching. the only pain meds I had with her was morphene and I did a lot of breathing and I had family helping through it. So my advice if you want to do natural with no drugs have at least one or two ppl there to help u through the contractions. It really helps.

Don’t freak out, doctor’s can totally be wrong! My SIL was told her baby was going to be HUGE, they claimed 9lbs AT LEAST. She was 5 days overdue and he was 7lbs 5oz…..yeah no where near 9lb. At my 37 week checkup my doctor said she was very average in size and when I delivered 2 weeks early she was 8lbs 1 oz. I had a regular vaginal delivery and it wasn’t any harder because she weighed more. I think it has more to do with the size of their head than anything. But don’t worry all they are giving you is an ESTIMATE!

I was 9lbs 8oz. You think that’s bad….My older brother was 12lbs 9oz and my little brother was 11lbs 3oz. and he was 2 weeks early! My mom grew some GIANT babies. Both my brothers wore 6month old clothing at birth. They wouldn’t let her have them naturally from the get go. They said her bone structure in her hips couldn’t handle it. Thank God though because trying to push out an almost 13lb baby would have killed her

My son was 2lb8.5oz, born via emergency c-section. I would have gladly tried to push out a 9lb baby given the alternative.
I was 9lb5oz and my mother went on to have another child just fine after delivering me vaginally. My cousin’s son was 9lb15oz and she had a c-section only after they decided his head was just too big, he wasn’t coming out. He is still a big little guy.

My mom had a no epi vaginal birth with my brother who was 9 lb 11 oz. Depends not just on your baby’s body but on yours, and weight assessments on ultrasounds are notoriously unreliable anyway.

My daughter was born a little over 7 weeks early. My water broke on its own, when we were in the hospital the U/S tech estimated her at 4 lbs 14 oz when she was born she was 4lbs 2 oz. I had her natural with a just pain medication.

My daughter was 9lb 14 oz and 22 inches born at 41 weeks. She measured ahead throughout my entire pregnancy. At our 20 week scan they said her femur was long, at 32 weeks she was measuring about 2 weeks ahead. I think it was around 34-36 weeks that they measured her 3-4 weeks ahead so they sent me for an ultrasound. At 37 weeks they said she was average size. At 39 weeks they were guessing between 7-8 lbs, well they were a little off there.

DS was 9 lbs 2 oz, born at 37 weeks 5 days. They estimated 7 lbs just the day before. Totally wrong!
