Mine spet about $150 which was the max I wanted to have to have them pay. Had I insisted on anything more I would have chipped in the difference. Talk to your bridesmaids and see what they are comfortable with. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend $200,but would have if one of my friends asked me too. If you ask them to spend that much on the dressthough I would try to make exeptions on the hair, make-up, shoes, whatever other consessions you can make so that things don’t become unaffordable for them.

My girls got their dress from Davids Bridal and with tax it came out to be like $170. They all wanted to be under $200. I do plan on paying for their hair, makeup, & jewelry.

my bridesmaid dresses were $180 Cdn plus tax. My fiancé and I bought them though. The only thing my bridesmaid are responsible for is their own shoes.

kma291: my bridesmaids paid about $100 each. I chose champagne beaded gowns from department stores ranging $300-400 retail, but waited for clearance/sales and used coupons. My 4 girls wore different gowns, and had a say in which dress they wore.

I think you need to privately speak to each of your bridesmaids and find out what they are comfortable spending.
For my wedding the dresses ranged from $180-$210 (mixed styles).
I’ve been a bridesmaid six times and I have paid anywhere from $45-$220 for dresses.

I picked a color and let them find their own dresses in their own price range. They all found dresses they loved, could afford, and could wear again.

kma291: My girls picked their own dress from Bill Levkoff – $220 each.

For my first wedding, I spoke to my bridesmaids about the budget for the bridesmaid dresses that they were comfortable with – they both said $200. I feel in love with a dress that was $250 and I paid the difference for the dress.

- Wedding: September 2015 - Hotel Ballroom
Both my SIL and I used these guys for our Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. They are reasonably priced and your BM’s can totally wear them again!

kma291: Mine were 120 dollars from the David’s Bridal Vera Wang collection.
I had them wear whatever black shoes of their choice (we all have a pair of those, heels, flats, whatever) and I paid for everything else. Hair, makeup, jewelry…..
They all looked beautiful and for a very reasonable price (to them haha).
