So, I have posted previously with a photo of my ring. I am having difficulty finding a wedding band that I like to go with my ering. My Engagement Ring has a curved band, and the only enhancer I have found that I like is on Ebay.
Fiance says no way- I need something with a lifetime warranty. He says that I need to either get it custom made, choose a straight regular band (yuck with my ring) OR choose a new bridal set (which is tempting, but then the sentimental value of my current ring is gone as we would have to trade it in).
Soooo, if any of you bees have had your wedding band made, with diamonds in it, how much did it cost?
And if given the choice between a custom ring, or choosing a new bridal set, what would you do? I do think my ring is beautiful, but I would be lying if I didn’t say I wanted my ring to be bigger.
Thanks so much!

@Bebedreamr: my cust ring cost me $2100…although its very simple. Just a platinum band with diamonds 3/4 of the way around it
If i were you, i would choose the custom ring but i am very big in sentimental value.

My wedding band was custom made in the sense that it was made for me, but from a design the shop already offers. It is a 3/4 eternity band and with shipping it was just under $900 on Etsy from SundariGems.
Prang has a great warranty! Check her out. If she doesn’t have something you love I am sure she could design it for you.

@Bebedreamr: my e-ring requires a curve band as well. I decided I needed symmetry and had a wrap fashioned. Because of the highly detailed nature of my rings it cost a lot (hand carving), adding up to 3700. But if it were strictly diamond bands it wouldn’t have cost near that. It was well worth it to have something one of a kind and oh so me!

@Bebedreamr: as far as my custom band goes, it ended up being just about $5k. But we’re good customers, so they were good with their pricing.
personally, I wouldn’t change my set, because I wouldn’t want to give up the ring Fiance proposed to me with. However, if you can make it work in your budget, and are not against it, why not? I think upgrading in size is totally ok. Have you seen another set you’d like more, or would you just be changing the center stone?

My custom wedding band cost $700 originally. It’s 14k white gold and had diamonds going about a quarter way around on the top and side. This September as an anniversay present my husband had them add more so the diamonds now go half way around and that was an extra $600. I was going to add them all the way around for an eternity band but it was going to be like $1200
This is the diamonds going about a quarter of the way around
ANd my ring now

I’m planning to have 2 (one on either side, “wrap” style) and they’ll be $2500-$3000 each I believe.

DH’s was fully custom and with four sapphires in it, plus hand engraving all the way around the 14k w/gold 9mm band, it was about $2k including insured shipping.
All I have to say about custom work is this: Steven Singer Jewelers in Philly. They beat the price and quality of every other place and made having to do everything by phone and email totally worth it.

Mine is going to wind up being about 5k. We don’t have it yet because we are trying to get the bulk of the wedding paid for first!
