Orientalla:  I bought mine for a steal at the Macy’s at my mall. There is a Demetrios boutique and I happened to fall in love with this dress, which just so happened to be on sale due to a trunk show. I got it, along with the cathedral veil and sash for a little over 1000. It was such a bargain and the lace and quality of the dress just made it so easy to say yes to.

I’m in Canada. I bought my 2014 Bliss by Monique Lhuillier dress at a sample sale in June 2014. Original price was $3500 Canadian and I paid $1500. I will need to spend money on alterations but it will be worth the savings.

I bought my dress in North Carolina for about 1,200 with tax, its Eden bridals style BL 034 and Alterations should only be about $150. Sorry the pictures are so bad, the samples were 5 sizes too big and due to no dressing rooms I’m wearing jean shorts under it!

Orientalla:  I’m in Minnesota. I spent close to $1800 on mine, Tara Keely 2206. I have yet to get alterations done, so that make raise the price a abit. This is a picture of the dress from their website.

My dress is by Jasmine Couture, T162014 (I don’t see too many on here from that brand). The store had it at $1699, but we talked them down to $1625. The dress is perfect for me–champagne with ivory lace, natural waist but stays pretty fitted through the hips. The lace is also beaded really beautifully, and it comes with a crystal belt for added bling (not the one in the first photo–that one was too big). I love it. I had struggled between drop waist and natural waist, and this one hit everything just right.

The only drawback is it comes with an illusion neckline (you can see the mesh around the neckline in the photos), which I’ll be removing to make it strapless. Some of the lace around the neckline I’ll keep though so it pops above the neckline. That’ll bring alterations to around $500 :(.

I only looked at a few dresses above the $2K mark. There are PLENTY below that cost. Some details cost more (nicer lace, bling, and beading), but I found it easy to stick around $1,500.

I’m in the US and my original dress cost 500 or 550, it was an a-line tulle gown in pink (davids bridal). The second (replacement) dress is a fit and flare lace gown (essence of Australia) that was  1599.

SYTTY kind of irritates me because it can set unrealistic expectations BUT on their site they’re pretty clear about the price range of the gowns they carry. And so girls who go in should be prepared to have little to nothing to choose from on their budget, in exchange for the Kleinfeld experience. (When they’re on a tight budget anyway.) but you can always play dress up and go somewhere else to buy.

    Mine was 880$

Although i did not pay attention to price tags when I was trying on gowns. It just happened that I fell in love with a dress that was lower than what i was initially going for 🙂

I live in the US but I ordered my dress from an etsy seller. It was $400. Very happy with how it turned out.

Sorry the picture is so bad!

My dress is $4000 AUD. It’s being custom made at the moment so I have no photos.

I found that my $4000 budget more than covered the majority of dresses I looked at.

I think in AU theres a big jump from dresses $1000 – $2000 average & then high designer / full couture (mine is semi couture) from $8000 upwards.

Mine is Pronovias Land. I paid $1900 for it and was recently quoted $275 for alterations, which included taking it in a size, adding cups, a hem and possible altering the back so that it’s a bit lower.
