Ours will be under $3000 for 150 people, not including the bar which our aunt & uncle are covering

Absolutely everything, including a 10 day honeymoon, gifts for bridal party people and family members, rings, and everything else was probably around $23K.  I lost count after awhile because my computer crashed and the spreadsheet that I had that tallied every single wedding expense was lost.  But I know it was in the low 20 thousands by the time the wedding rolled around.

With honeymoon and rings, ours will cost about $45k up front for a formal wedding in NYC.  But we’ll get some back because I’m selling my dress unless a fairy godmother shows up and drops $11k in my lap (expect to recoup ~$5k of it) and a bunch of things will be tax-deductible.

Okay, at the moment we’re looking at:

Venue (includes alcohol and catering for 65 guests – although guest list has gone up since this quote!!) – $6,000

Photographer – $2,500

Dress – $1,900

Make up – $120

Hair – $120

Celebrant – $495

Invitations – $250

Favours – $80

Flowers – $720

Gifts for BM’s – $105 (got them robes with their names embroidered on them)

Shoes – $175

So far that’s $12,650 and that doesn’t include things like, gifts for our parents, my veil, underwear, spray tan, gifts for our groomsmen, the band etc. We’re definitely hoping to keep it under $15k and I think we’ll easily manage that! Gosh it’s scary to add all that up!

We’ll stay under our budget of $3000 for 70ish people at a rustic, casual, DIY, afternoon wedding.

The major things we have saved money on are venue ($100), photographer ($300), ceremony musician ($100) and dress ($30).  We won’t have a DJ or be serving alcohol (neither of us drink and we’ll use an IPOD for music). Our family paid for the catering and cake – saving us about $1700 – out of our pockets (so not included in above estimate).

Our honeymoon is being postponed a year, and we plan on going to the Galapagos Islands and possibly Peru, too.  This is estmated to cost us between $8000-$10,000.

We’re having a small (48 total people, including us.) wedding in a week! We haven’t been keeping as close of an eye on budget as we should have… but I think we’re coming out pretty close to our $4000 budget 🙂 Heres the tally:

Dress: 400 (though this was covered by my Mom 🙂 )

Shoes: 25

Hair & Makeup: 50

Venue: 1250

Caterer: 800

Photography: 600

Videography: Free! (Thanks, friend!)

DJ: Free! (Again, thanks friend!)

Sound System: 100

Cake: Free! (Wedding present from my super-fab bridal party :D)

Flowers: 150 (Afloral + my super talented MOH)

Decor: 150 (save-on-crafts.com)

Rings: 150 (Titanium Kay + Zales)

Guest Book: 60 (Guestbookstore.com)

Invites & Thank-Yous: 150 (annsbridalbargains.com)

Misc. Paper Products: 50

Friendor & Attendant Gifts: ~250

total at: $4160 (-400 for dress?), so right on budget! I think the best deal we got was on our AMAZING venue! Its a mountain top inn, and the ceremony will overlook the valley (if its not raining…) We’ll have access to 5 rooms too, and its gorgeous! And the staff has been super helpful!

venue – free

cantor and pianist at church – 200

So that all is around 12000 for a 120 or so person weddingin NJ/honeymoon.

We had lots of details though and crafty stuff and made our own invitations and paid for postage and I bet when all is said and done it was above 15000, especially factoring stuff like my shoes were free but I bought two pairs and haven’t sold/returned them yet and my husbands parents donated like 2000 to the church.  Oh and the rehersal dinner was around 1500 and my Mother-In-Law had food around constantly so it was probably above 15000 including everything for the whole weekend and honeymoon.
