Jos A Banks $179 (this was a group discount on a marked $600 suit).

My Fiance spent $400 at Men’s Wearhouse. No pics yet bc they’re tailoring it atm.

the groomsmen are doing the JC Penny’s route because they arent wearing a full suit, just dress pants and suspenders.

We purchased from Macys. I think it was 165 during a huge sale on a 550 ralph Lauren suit.

Darling Husband got his suit from Harry Rosen (spent about 2K on sale) – I bug him that he spent more on his outfit than I spent on mine.  The rest of his clothes (shirt, tie, shoes) we picked up at a Saks off 5th outlet mall (got some great deals).

We haven’t bought the suits yet but we’re looking at an Australian store called Tarocash. They run a promotion whereby the groom gets his suit practically free, so we thought we’d just buy all four suits at once and divide the cost 4 ways to make it fair for them all.

We are getting ours at H&M, which is what a friend of his did for a wedding Fiance was in. It turned out really nice. It’s around $100/ suit!

I think my Fiance and his groomsmen ended up paying around $160 for their suits? They purchased them in 2014 during the Men’s Warehouse buy 1 get 2 free sale – so it worked out super cheap for everyone. Cheaper than renting, actually. I don’t know if Men’s Warehouse still does that sale though…

Edit…HUSBAND. I still say Fiance and I’ve been married for 1.5 years. I still don’t say husband all the time! lol

grace14:  $200 each for the suit (coat and pants) during a sale at Men’s Wearhouse.

They will still be renting shirt/vest/ties/shoes for the wedding, which is an additional $85.

We did ask our groomsmen if they wanted to buy suits in advance, and they were all for it.

We rented for $250 a suit but the suits we rented were easily over a grand each.  If they were to buy them that would have been a fair investment!

grace14:  ours wore mismatched suits. OH’s (three piece suit; made to measure by Suit Supply) cost £700 (around $1050), I think our groomsmen’s ranged from around £120 ($180) to £250 ($375). We gave each of them enough to cover a rental (£60), and provided their ties, they already had shoes and shirts.

We got his at Macys during a sale I think the jacket and pants were $180? Orginally $550. We then got it tailored which cost us only $35. We chatted up the guy and I guess he liked us and gave us a great deal on tailoring.

grace14:  Ours rented and paid like $140ish but we asked beforehand what their budget for a suit was. We thought the idea of buying was nice because the fit is obviously better and they can keep it, but our GMs wore tan suits and I couldn’t ask them to buy something they’d probably never wear again. So my advice, if you’re having them buy a suit make sure you choose a color that is timeless/wearable again – like a nice dark grey/charcoal suit. Also, ask them what their budget is and stick to that, don’t just decide based on what other Bees have had their GMs pay.
