So we’re paying for the rentals of our 3 groomsmen and 3 bridesmen (so, 6 dudes total) suits because I don’t want them to feel like they have to pay to be in our wedding party. That said – it seems like I’ve locked us in to at minimum $600, but more likely $1000! I’ve looked at rentals and I’ve looked at custom suits.
How much did you pay for rentals? I’d rather a suit over a tux and none of the local websites seem to have prices published! I am not above hopping over the border (from Canada to the US) to pick up a rental there and take it back after, if it’s that much cheaper.

I don’t have the exact number, but I believe they were around $170 for tuxes. We went with Tip Top Tailors. They have a deal that if you put down deposits with measurements 3 months in advance you can get 30% off each tux.
Moores also has a coupon floating around for 40% off each tux, but you have to pay $40 to set up your account. That coupon I picked up from a promotional flyer from David’s Bridal. For us, the 40% sounded really good, but they have less included in the package that it ends up being more than Tip Top Tailors.

thanks for replying! Did you also cover all the rental costs or did your bridal party pay for their own?

We are renting tuxedos from Men’s Wearhouse (Vera Wang Black) for all of our guys. Since 3 of the 5 are our children, we are just paying for all of them. They came out to $225 each (but the grooms rental was free).

No, the groomsmen are paying for their own.

Our rentals are 180 each with a big old 18% tax In vegas so $200 total for the Vera wang suits and I had a $40 off each rental coupon.

If we had that option it would have been $150 per groomsmen with Groom being free. We decided against renting because the only person in my town that rents tuxes is nutso. We went into her shop in June to be sized for a wedding he was apart of and when she asked what tux he was renting for that wedding he said “the camo one.” By The Way, We have ZERO camo in our entire wedding. None. But she took it as “Oh those people want camo!” so when we went in to make our order for OUR wedding she kept saying “That color isn’t going to look good with camo” or “Do you want a camo bow tie too?” NO NO NO NO NO!!! So we wanted to avoid disaster and not even try to rent from there and buy instead. More spendy but at least we get to keep it in the end 🙂

We just got 1 for Fiance and it was $189 but after the add ons and tax it was like $220.

We went to Moores – they were around $170 each for the Vera Wang Black label Charcoal Grey Suits.

I’m not sure how much they are but we are getting a deal from savi formal wear. We had to pay $10. But we get free groom rental, $50 off each groomsmen rental and FOB/G and any grandparents that want to rent. I forget how much off ring bearer. Free socks. And something else. We are going next month I believe to sort of gaze so be can see what exactly he wants. His main stipulation is he wants a bow tie lol.

We went to Men’s Wearhouse and got the Vera Wang Black for 170 or 180 dollars with a coupon (coupons are readily available for them). Plus, my husband got a 500 dollar gift certificate to buy a suit after the wedding.

Ours will be purchasing their own suits. Probably from Express or a black friday deal. Ours guys are totally cool with it and most of them said they need a suit anyways and would rather spend the $150ish on something they can keep. (Target has inexpensive suits too with good reviews that we’re also considering but need to order 1 to try it on.)

We paid for ours too! Ours were about $140 with an early bird special. $180 otherwise. $600-$1000 seems so hefty!
