We went to Couples Sans Souci in Ocho Rios for 7 days/nights with airfare, free couples massage and included climb of Dunns River Falls ($100 value PP) for approx $2700. We flew from Atlanta to Miami then Miami to Montego Bay. It was all inclusive and we booked through CheapCaribbean.com

Depends on how you’re traveling, I think. If you don’t have to fly, it should definitely be doable. So, for instance, if you live in New England, you could go to New York City and stay at a nice hotel for 3 nights, do dinner and a show, and hit up museums and have it be around $1000, maybe a little more. But when you factor in airfare for two people to go almost anywhere, that’s between 600 and 1000 right there.

I’d agree with the PP — airfare is a big cost and especially on shorter trips it will eat up your whole budget! If you’re in the US, you might can get $200 flights to FL or AZ or ‘out of season’ places…but even then that’s almost half of what you want to spend! Some airlines have deals to Cancun or Acapulco if you want to get out of the US for 200ish each.

$1000 would be much more workable if you could drive somewhere for a ‘getaway.’

The flights will kill ours as well as some of the adventures we are planning (such as scuba diving. I am certified, but FH needs to get his). We get to stay for near free though so that helps a lot!!!!!

We are still confirming the exact places but it looks like a week in Fiji and a week in New Zealand which will be $1500-$1800 each for airfare.

We are going to St. John’s for 8 nights and the entire thing is costing us $1800 but we will be spending more once we are there and doing things and eating food. We are also going during August which is off-season.

I should probably add that the flight alone is costing us $900 dollars.

nopee, YOU CAN TOTALLY DO IT. Go to bookit.com allinclusive trips to mexico you can find tons for under 100pp per night. I have looked leaving boston, I guess it will depend where your flying from. But all inclusive is the way too go, otherwise you will just spend 1000 in any boring city for food and drinks.

We ended up flying to San Juan and island hopping on a cruise there, which totaled about $3k including air fare, cruise, drinks and excursions.  Totally worth it in my opinion.

Where are you located?  It will be summer time in the US, so you could potentially drive to a beach or somethign like that

We spent about $4,000 and we’re staying here in Antigua in an all-inclusive ocean front suite for 10 nights. We booked our hotel stay through Ideeli and got an amazing deal and then booked our flights through Cheap-O-Flights and Delta. I feel like we got an awesome deal – I can’t wait to go!!
