$3600, 8 hours, two photographers, over 2500 pics, mostly edited, and an engagement session.

The files were way to big to upload so every picture here has been scaled down or cropped to fit. You can see the full photos on my FB:

Great thread idea! I started out my wedding planning with a younger photographer (nothing against them but her age played into factor later) and she was very flaky and the quality of her work left a lot to be desired. She put us in awesome poses and the photo effects were GREAT but simple editing techniques were left out (lint on shirts, uneven color on faces etc.).

So we fired our first photographer and two months before the wedding met our new photographers. They were a husband and wife team (both went to school for photography in different parts of the US) so together they brought great flare to their work!

We paid $2,700 for 8 hours, two disks with over 900 images, top 130 images were edited and this package included $400 worth of free merchandise (we put this to our wedding album). Dealing with professionals was such a relief! Their quick turn around on pictures and advice throughout the day was so very helpful! I would suggest 2J’s Photography to anybody in the Iowa/South Dakota/Minnesota area!

Well I can’t add mine as I don’t own the rights but I got a deal like: @SoonToBee2013:  did.

We had a budget wedding and so I put up an ad on Craigslist looking for someone in our price range.  We got a great photographer and second shooter for about 600.  There were 350 some odd pics but we had a short ceremony and reception.  He offered to do other photos in there too but he only needed him for the ceremony/reception.  We get to have the DVD with all the pics and it includes a credit for a large print.  All in all a great deal and we are super happy with how they turned out.  If anyone wants a link to the gallery they can PM me. ๐Ÿ™‚

I got married in 2011 and my photographer started at $1200 for 8 hours with 1 photograher and an engagemenet session.  Since I’m also a photographer and editor, she did help me out a bit, though.

I booked her because we got along great and I loved the usage of lighting in her portfolio- which was small because she was just getting started.  However, it rained on my wedding day and we were a bit rushed.  That said, I didn’t wns up getting the photos that I really wanted nor was I completely blown away by the engagement session.

We got about 700 images on a disc with print release.

Don’t have the pictures on this computer or I would share.

As a photographer myself, who is just getting serious about weddings, I am charging $350 for 6 hours this year.

My photographer was a family member so she gave me a great discount.  I paid $1100 for 2 photographers, 9 hours, and 700-ish images on disk with printing rights.

All photos by Trizza Grantham Photography.

We have paid around $700, which has paid for our engagement pics and will pay for our private ceremony and bridal photos. It was originally more because she was going to stay for our reception in November (reception is later because of family from out of the country), but we decided to stick with just the ceremony.

Here are a few of our engagement.

We paid around $800-$875, can’t remember the exact price. He took pics from 3pm-9pm, we also had videography for the ceremony, and this also paid for the rights to ALL the photos. Most of the pics I’m trying to upload are apparently too large to post ๐Ÿ™ but here’s a few that did work… not my favorites, but at least you can see the quality for the price ๐Ÿ™‚

We paid $4200 and although it was super expensive I couldn’t be happier! That was with all the photos on discs, engagement and day of.

Photos were by Rawsii.

@Beelow:  You’re beautiful! You’re pictures are stunning!

@Miss_Narrows:  OMG I LOVE the pictures of those little girls reading the magazine! How stinkin’ cute!
