Hi ladies, considering all the crap going on in the world, I thought it might be nice to do an updated “what did your ring cost” break down. A couple of years ago a wonderful post was created, tons of bees from all over participated and it helped out a lot of people and future ring buyers, but it is now outdated and sometimes hard to find with the way the Bee archives posts. So many ladies should be trying on rings and enjoying upcoming milestones, but currently are unable to, due to our current global situation. Having pictures of ideas and the cost is very helpful. If you don’t know the cost, still post a picture with the specs and your respective guess.
Okay… The rules…
1. post a picture (or two or three ) of your ring
2. include the specs AND ring/finger size.
3. include the cost (break down of the cost of the center stone and setting is nice if possible)
4. if comfortable post where you purchased it, meaning what type of shop, local, chain, etc.

I don’t remember exact price now, maybe $3k. Tiffany & Co Platinum .49 diamond, I think it’s an F Vs1. I would have to check the paperwork. Here it is with my 18k rose gold Tiff Metro wedding ring.

The center diamond is 1.11 carat lab created round brilliant diamond (I color/VVS1/excellent cut with an HCA score of 1.2) from Brilliant Earth to the tune of $3100. The ring itself is 14k yellow gold, size 5, from the Verragio Renaissance collection, 941r, featuring 0.5 carats of accent diamonds. I got it from a loca jeweler who is an authorized Verragio dealer. I think it was about $2800. Total: just about 6k?

How fun!! Mine was bought as a solitaire from Lee Michael’s Fine Jewelry for $5800 and then I had a setting made a few months later at Everett Jewelry for $3300 and had my diamond replaced in the new setting. It’s a GIA 1ct princess cut ideal cut g color vs1 and .50ct in the setting size 7. So total cost $9100.00.
