My fiancée had saved about 6k (USD) for the ring. We talked and decided together that 3k was a better budget to start looking. My grandmother works in the fashion industry and had a contact that was able to give us my ring for wholesale cost, so it ended up being right around 3k but appraises for a lot more. I knew what I wanted and got it, and 3k was not an unreasonable amount for us. I would not judge anyone else for spending more or less though. It’s all about the couple and what works for them and their situation. I love my ring and I love my fiancée! Congrats to everyone else on their engagements and beautiful rings!

My ring has been appraised for $12,500 (CAD) but my Fiance paid under $4k for it – with the help of my dad.  My dad is a goldsmith by trade so he knew where to go to get the diamond, the materials, and the smaller diamonds to make my oval halo ring – the design is Tiffany&Co inspired.  My Fiance told me he had a budget of $5k and was so relieved my dad was able to “hook him up” ๐Ÿ™‚  The center is just over 1carat and with all the smaller diamonds combined, it’s 1.29 carats.

Not only is it special to me because my bestfriend proposed with this beautiful ring, but because this ring was made with absolute love by my father.  A ring that I can pass on to my daughter, or granddaughter later on.  Everytime I look at it, it is a reminder of the two most important men in my life.

My ring was in the $5figure range, and much closer to 20 than 10. (Maybe over 20 after financing and taxes. I dont know the details) The price doesnt matter to me in the least. I feel lucky to marry my fiancé with or without the expensive ring.

my  fiancee bought mine while traveling in Belize, and I believe he paid $6k. Appraisal back in the US was nearly double that price. While I do think he spent a lot, he truly got a stellar deal and he definitely “wow”ed me!

MRSD1460:  Your ring is incredible. Do you mind if I ask where you got the setting? The band is so thin and dainty its perfect.

2thDr:  Beautiful Ring! I agree with what you said about everyone starting off declaring Tiffany’s as the standard–but when you love someone enough to marry them, the ring becomes less important than the man! May I ask where your setting is from?

Got mine yesterday. I chose moissy & platinum. Fiance has a friend who is a jeweler. The total cost came in at just under $2700. Very happy ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I don’t know exactly how much my ring cost, but when DH proposed to me, we were poor lol. But things DRASTICALLY changed within a few months, and he ended up with a brilliant job, so we upgraded to a half carat solitaire after we got married. My first ring was probably $600 at most though.

Mine was about 1200 CAD, or 895 USD.

afllawyerbride:  Sorry I just saw this, I honestly have no idea about the setting, I was told it was “classic creations” we got it from a local store in the Indianapolis area called Distinctive Diamonds, they are the BEST! I wear gloves all day so I didn’t want anything too high and it’s perfect!
