engagement ring was a gift – belonged to my great grandmother and was given to Fiance by my grandmother. Fiance ended up paying 75 dollars to have it cleaned, resized, and dipped, and 100 to get it professionally evaluated with a cert. for the diamond.  It was valued at 6k.

wedding band was an antique store find… 200 for the ring, 50 to clean, resize, and dip.

Well what we paid and what its worth are vastly different. My uncle is a gem dealer who loves his nieces so much he got us incredible diamonds years ago for wholesale cost, and got a good deal on that then gifted the diamonds to us as our bfs were about to propose. So my setting and wedding band only cost us about $550, but the ring is worth about $7000 because the quality of the diamond. My wedding band is just plain white gold, and my Engagement Ring:

we had a good cop/bad cop thing going on when we went ring shopping. i was the bad cop, haha. we were only supposed to look, but they were bound and determined to make a sale. it was kind of annoying (and insulting), but we did end up getting a good deal. we got my rings (engagement & wedding band) and his wedding ring for around $2600. and technically his ring was free, but i paid what it would have cost anyway. i didn’t think it was fair for my fiance to be the only one spending money while i got off easy.

Don’t have them yet (impatiently waiting) but quoted at $195 for e-ring and $120 for band plus $15-20 each for engraving plus, of course, taxes. This was for 3mm white gold band with 25-40pt white topaz and plain 3mm white gold band.

My engagement ring was $3000 and my wedding band was $800.We went in with a budget for my e-ring, and the jeweler was really awesome. He gave me extacly what I wanted and made the price fit. We went for our wedding bands and got the same awesome service.

We got lucky with both my e ring and band. We got them from separate jewelers who were friends of friends. lol. My e-ring was given to Fiance at cost and since he paid cash, there was no tax either. Fiance paid about $5400 for my ring. The jeweler who sold us our bands gave us about 50% off both of them which was amazing so we paid only $870 for mine and $250 for his.

I don’t have my wedding band yet, but it matches the band on my e-ring.
