1500 bucks for 4 people, ceremony and cocktail hour with sound system. They also ran the sound for the ceremony for us.

$400 for 4 people during the ceremony only, 5 years ago.

ETA: My sister used student musicians. I’m not sure if they were college or HS age. They were great though.

We only have money to spare for a string duo (cello and violin) for the ceremony (and 30 minutes of playing before, so 1 hour total) and it cost 325. I wanted to just use a CD but my Fiance used to play the trumpet and he really likes live music of course *shrug*

We’re in FL (you didn’t ask but I’m sure the state matters).

Hello bee, our quartet was £500 (so about 700 dollars I think) for 2 hours. Duos/trios usually charge less than a quartet

I play violin at weddings, and duo’s are less expensive. Also, search for musicians that are college or High school students. We charge half the price because we’re not ‘professional’ but as long as the song isn’t very complex, we can play it just as well:)

$480 for 1.5 hrs of a string trio. They are graduates of a music school in my city.

My string trio costs $650 for 1.5 hours (ceremony and cocktail hour). If I need to extend their time it will be $150/hour. They have a huge list of songs they know ranging from classical to top 40, and will learn any song I request for free!

Mine is a very established group which is probably why they came with a hefty price tag.

$550 for a trio for 2 hours to cover the pre-ceremony music, ceremony and cocktail hour.

Our string ensemble has a great price list setting out all their prices for duo, trio and quartet for everything from a short ceremony to ceremony + cocktail hour + reception. It was really helpful to then be able to see what fits with our budget and timeline.

Quartet for $625 for the ceremony so about an hour. Each hour after that is $400, but we are not extending it since we are opting to switch to a pianist for our cocktail hour. The group I’m using are all either professional musicians or teachers & have been doing their string quartet group for weddings/events for about 15 years…I was actually surprised it wasn’t more expensive.
