All in with rings (except ering, travel, honeymoon) about 80k for 130 guests. 60k was from my family, 10k from his, 10 from us. It seems so crazy… It was easy to do though. No one was willing to sacrifice any of their dreams or standards so that’s what it cost.

I feel really lucky my parents are in the position to do that and wanted to. And even luckier their vision was in line with mine, so no battles. And lucky I don’t have a sister haha, if I did the budget would be half, which is still a good budget but I would have had to say bye bye to my venue, farm to table caterer, abundant florals and sailcloth tent.

Spent 12k on a 9 day luxe St Lucia honeymoon.

And now we’re never spending another penny haha.  Squirrel mode is on. No regrets though, from my parents either. It was literally a dream.

Thrburko89:  I wanted it around $10K, but it was closer to $12K with EVERYTHING included. I’m in the upper midwest, and kept everything a little cheaper than what I really could have spent.

My parents generously gave us $10K to use, but anything we didn’t spend we got to keep. My parents and DH’s parents split the cost of the reception, and paid for their own guests (my side was maybe 15% of the guest list, as it was a majority of DH’s side). My IL’s also helped out with a few other things too. Darling Husband and I paid for quite a few things as well. In the end, the money leftover from my parents was used towards our honeymoon ($3500).

Probably around $300 max just for clothes and accessories, plus the cost of the license. We got married in DH’s parents front yard by their family pastor/friend. If you include our wedding rings, add $1250 to that. We didn’t have a honeymoon.

MrsBuesleBee: are / did you stay at Jade Mountain? I hope you helicoptered in if so!

Location: Sonoma, CA

Budget: $20k (I blame budget savvy bride)

Actual: $45k

Honeymoon: $7k at an eco-resort in St. Lucia & $3k at a luxe  all inclusive in Costa Rica.

we spent close to $45k for our 25 person rehearsal dinner, 80 person brunch wedding & 60 person post-wedding dinner. We also covered two nights’ stay for 17 people in our immediate families & significant others & travel for our photographers.

we prioritized venue (9k), food & booze for 3 meals (18k) & photography (6k) and if I had to do it again, I would have spent less on my shoes, center pieces and details because half wasn’t put out & my shoes just didn’t work on the grass so I had to switch at the last minute.

our budget was pretty normal for our area and we don’t spend much normally (free t-shirts & meals through work) so we were able to cover the whole thing since we started saving as soon as we moved in together.

bitsybee:  we thought about Jade Mountain, but went with Sugar Beach because its nicer with way a better beach and location. The 12k included flights, luxe villa, couples spa treatment, private sailboat charter, and some boutique splurging 🙂

Weddin was $16,700 including all 3 rings. Another $4,000 for honeymoon and another $450 for our “backyard reception” when we got back. (We got married in a different province, so had a backyard thing where we live, for our friends/colleagues there when we got back).

Ugh, way more than I like to admit.

Initial budget was 50K, but we went WAY over that. I stopped tallying at a certain point, because it didn’t really matter anymore, but I’d guess around 70-75K for 150 guests (excluding honeymoon, and rings). Our parents generously paid for everything, splitting costs about 50/50. Most of the time, our mothers were the ones who encouraged us to go with the more expensive this or that, so I tried not to feel too guilty.

Our honeymoon was probably about 11 or 12K? We spent 2 weeks in Italy and went all out. We paid for the honeymoon ourselves.

It was the perfect day and the perfect trip, and our families could afford it, so again, we try not to feel guilty, and we certainly don’t regret anything about it.

There was no budget we just didn’t want to spend a lot, in total it was around $11k including rings, dress, photographer etc etc. and about $6k for two weeks in Paris. With all the monetary gifts we fortunately struck even (around 11k) so we really just paid for the honeymoon yay

buzzinbee:  thats the wedding weekend with rehearsal dinner, busing our guests to a distillery tour (and to the wedding for that matter) but yeah…

annb9:  yes. same here. We started at 60k but the moms and dads wanted top shelf this and that and the other and to invite alllllllll their friends so things escalted quickly.
