Karenina:  You looked amazing, I don’t think I would have thought to consider a black dress but you make me question that decision!!

LittleDove: Is that you in the photo? I appreciate that there’s no normal way to say this but I love everything about those photos, completely sweetly stunning! Also the perfect illustration of how I wish I looked in empire-line dresses… I chose A-line for a reason (not because it was my favourite) 😉 but you’ve got to play the hand you’re dealt.

My dress is La Sposa – Mirra. The dress is typically priced around $1,800.00, I bought mine for $950.00. I ended up losing a bit more weight than anticipated in the rush of the wedding and if I had time, would have had it altered to fit tighter. I did have to keep my goodies in check from time to time especially with all the 2 steppers that attended my wedding on the dance floor!

My dress was about $880 (after a sale and taxes, etc.), and my alterations were less than $100. I didn’t need much done, but I went with a gal that has a business out of her home and was so great to work with – and cheap! It’s Jasmine Bridal.

Mine is Allure 9121 and it was $1575. I paid $150 to have it ordered with a shortened length, so now I don’t need any other alterations done to it (except to get it bustled) 🙂

This is my dress for my August next year wedding 🙂

This is just the sample dress so it looks a little bumpy in areas.

It cost £750 so $1163 (approx)

Beautiful dresses ladies! Mine was almost $900 with tax, I barely need any alterations, so I’m thinking maybe less than $200.2015-02-24_11.05_.43_

Katana:  This is almost cheating, but mine was FREE! That’s because I’m wearing my mom’s though hahaha. We also happen to be almost the exact same size (and her dress was not out of style), so I only paid about $300 in alterations. When she bought her dress in the 90s, it was still under $1000.

Dont hve mine yet but I have a $500 budget for the dress. I am not willing to spend too much money on a dress that will wear once
