I haven’t done it yet but my session I believe is 175 including some prints, CD, plus 75 for a little black book. I wanted to go with a photographer that specialties in this however their session was 375 plus 150 for the book not including and prints also some amount of $ for a CD.

I just did my boudoir shoot today for a total of $400 – that includes a book of about 30 images, three hours of shooting and best of all, Full hair and makeup for my pinup-inspired shoot.

I just did a boudoir session this past weekend (so much fun!).  It was part of a marathon, so I got hair, make-up and 1 hour of photos for $350.  That includes 10 edited images of my choice on a CD.  I will also probably be purchasing an album – it will be 20 pages/images 5×7 album for $150.  So about $500 for the session and the album.

My session is going to be $299 + tax, and the album will be atleast $109 for 20-25 edited photos.  (More $$ if i upgrade the album)

But I also include about $100 for clothes (reusing them of course later!)

We weren’t able to do an engagement shoot with my photographer and instead I did a boudoir shoot, which was free. He had only done one boudoir shoot before and was looking to build that part of his portfolio. I think we spent four hours of getting ready and 4 clothing changes. He sent me 125 proofs which I narrowed down to 20 pics, and he did some minor editing (they didn’t need much, they were amazing!). I just ordered my book from adoramapix.com and spent $35 for a 26 page 8×8″ hard cover book.

Some advice, bring a girlfriend or two to help you feel relaxed. They can also help making sure you look the best. We had mimosas which helped a little bit. Be natural. It’s hard, but do your best. Trust your photographer, and ask to see a couple shots on his camera to build your confidence. And have fun!

@Dragonsus: Curious, did you by any chance go with Louisville Pinup and Boudoir?  I’m looking at using them and am curious to hear about them from someone who’s had a shoot with them.

@SadieBee:  There are two boudoir photographers in Louisville.  Louisville Boudoir and Boudoir Louisville – I used Ryan and Brittany at boudoirlouisville.com who do more pinup-inspired boudoir.  From what I can tell, Louisville Boudoir is a little more expensive and they don’t include hair and makeup, whereas Boudoir Louisville (through Sniper Photography) includes both!

they were really easy to work with and made me very comfortable right away – I brought some “liquid courage” with me and didn’t need it at all!

@Dragonsus:  Ahh, ok, Boudoir Louisville is the one I’m looking at.  From their website and gallery, I’m impressed with their results, and their prices for everything are WAY better than a lot of competitors.  It would actually be a lot closer for me to go to Cincinnati, but I think I might drive the extra distance to go with them Smile

@SadieBee: Definitely – if you book this month I think they have a special and I’ll post some of my pics when I get them!

I paid exactly $500 for a 20 page 8×8 album and 30 edited pics.  It was awesome. I would totally do it over again and worth every penny for a real pro.
