We paid $2400 for 7 hours 1 photographer (although he ended up bringing another one), engagement session, base editing (not retouching) and high-res discs of everything.

He was worth every penny. I am in love with our photos.

We’re paying $710 for 5 hours of coverage. We decided for budget reasons not to go with any prints or albums and instead to get a CD with all the images and the ability to make our own prints up to 8×10. I spent hours making a spreadsheet of every wedding photographer I could find in my area under $1000–we were determined to spend less than that!  We are also going to probably do a separate e-pic session with a different photographer for about $50.

We’re paying $1800, which I think is really, really good deal. That includes two photographers, engagement photos, rehearsal dinner photos, morning of photos, ceremony photos, photos well into the night and a DVD and full rights to all these photos. The photographer is a good childhood friend of my Fiance so he cut us an excellent deal and he also happens to be SO talented! I am so happy we hired him, our engagement photos came out AMAZING!

We’re paying $2000 and that includes 8 hours of coverage, a second shooter for 3 hours, a disc of images with printing and sharing rights, and some credits for ordering prints through her website. We also got lucky; most places in Chicago that we looked at were minimum $3000 and many were much higher… in fact our photog raised her minimum rate to $3000 not long after we booked her, so I was glad to get it locked in early!

yikes! we are paying about 6800 for ours: included eshoot, 12 hrs of coverage, two photographers, 12×12 album, 3 parent albums, password protected gallery, and all proofs 4×6. In my area, the photogs i visited were all between 6-9k depending on packages…sheesh! maybe i should MOVE! 🙂

$2500 for unlimited coverage, CD witha ll edited pics, 2 brag books, 2- 8×10, 1- 11×14 and a scrapbook type album with about 100 pics.   I actually talked to a guy who wanted to charge us $8500 for just coverage and a CD, nothing else! YIKES!

Our package was $3500 with two photographers and all day coverage, but Mr. Tattoo redesigned their whole website so we are only paying $1750 for them. This is how every vendor should work. Your website needs replaced and we need cupcakes. Let’s make a deal. ^_^

Let’s see…. $2500 for 8 hours, 2 photogs, CD with print rights, plus a 4×6 print of every proof, an e-session and a CD of e-session photos with print rights. They are right in the middle price-wise of other photogs we spoke with so I’m really happy with our decision.

We paid $5500 to fly our photog out to our San Diego wedding. With that, we got an engagement session (3 hours), rehearsal dinner coverage (4 hours), and day-of (unlimited). All photos were completely edited and retouched, and we got DVDs of them. Since it was a high-end Boston photog, it wasn’t cheap – but it was 100% worth it!! Our pics were works of art!

I’m extremely picky about photographers.  I think there are way, way too many people out there with nice cameras who think they’re photogs.

I knew who I was going to use a year before I was engaged.  She’s expensive, but she’s published (The Knot, wedding blogs, regional wedding mags) and has great packages.

My package is just over $3k, but we’ll probably end up spending $4k in the end.  The package includes full day coverage (no hour limit), my photog and her partner (not just some photog she’s hiring as an assistant, this is her partner all the time), engagement session, images on disc, online gallery, and our album.  We’re going to add two albums for our mothers.

No matter where you are in the county, you can find a cheap photographer and you can find one that’ll charge you $10,000.  If you aren’t a visual person, you might look at the portfolios of the cheap photogs and be perfectly happy.  If you are into photography, you’ll obviously be more willing to spend a little bit more.

1k for 4 hours, 2 shooters, $100 print credit, engagement session, and edited cd with rights. I did so much research and she had some of the best prices and best pictures. I am shocked at some of the deals you ladies got.

$1500 for all day coverage, 2 photogs, e-shoot, custom guestbook of our e-shoot, photobooth at the reception, fully edited CDs with copyright, wedding album and prints for the parents and grand-parents.

I DID get several discount though. The package normally costs MUCH more than what i paid for it. We got a student AND a military discount and a discount because the photgs wanted to get into “offbeat” weddings and mine was their very first (they gave me half-off for that).
