Got married last August, and we spent about $160 per person for food and alcohol. We’re in a lower to moderate priced city, but really wanted to splurge on food and drinks. That included passed appetizers during cocktail hour and a four course meal ordered tableside (guests had a steak, chicken, fish, and vegetarian option for their main course). We had the ceremony and reception at the same venue, and were able to swap out to another room during the cocktail hour while they converted the ceremony space over to the reception space. We had the venue for a total of 7 hours.

wedding2017: Venue “site fee” was 3K and included not that much. (some tables but not all, had to rent chairs, dishes, dancefloor, etc) I hired not a traditional weddding caterer but a greek restuarnt that is famous and does catering it was about 4K for 100 people. This didn’t include Alchohol which was its own thing (bought booze and hired bartenders) which was almost another 2K for those things.

wedding2017: Our venue was just under $3k and included tables & chairs (but the chairs were ugly so we rented Chivari). Our catering was $13,000 for 200 people – that was just food and didn’t include the bar.
