Our minimum spend before tax is $22,000, which we will hit. $3000 for the chattel fee. $2200 for the AV fee. $425 for security. 18% gratuity and 13% tax. 

 

Our total will be $35,000 for 150 people.

Venue is a bit over 11k for the space, chairs, and alcohol.

Catering is roughly 5000 for heavy passed appetizers (cocktail style reception) and cutesy deserts. 

Wedding is in Milwaukee and estimated headcount is about 125.

I’m going to have mine in the Bay Area. I’m going to have around 250 guests. 24k for the restaurant/venue. Alcohol will be another 1500. Wedding package( includes photographer/videographer/decorations) will be another 13,500. California is so expensive 😒

Schmashley:  We looked at Harmony Ridge Lodge in Nevada City. We looked into Mitchells Meadows, the Twenty Mile House, and Thunderbird Lodge up in the mountains. And Lavender Ridge in Reno. Then also looked into the Grand Island Mansion and Vizcaya. We have guests camping at Plasse’s resort it’s about 15 minutes from the HideOut they also do weddings there. Hope this helps! Ceremony and reception at the same venue. $20k minimim but you put your food towards that. So it’s $20k with food included or more if your food is more (which it was with alcohol). We rented Chivari chairs and linens so that was extra (though the venue had their own if you wanted to use those). With everything, our wedding cost about $50k for 125 people. This is in Calgary, Alberta.

Our ceremony and reception are at the same venue as well! It’s about $2700 for the venue and it’ll come out to approximately $5500 for catering for 140 people. This includes tables, chairs, linens, cutlery/tableware and booze! πŸ™‚ So all in all, it’ll cost a little over $8000 total.

I feel crazy here. Our venue and catering for 85 is about $5,000. We are getting married on a Sunday so that was a little less expensive then a Saturday venue but I guess our catering is where its at! We are doing a 4th of July wedding so we decided to have the local organic restaurant do a vegetarian friendly BBQ. We have burgers, salads, fresh fruit, homemade buns, corn on the cob, roasted vegetables, potato salad etc. for about $1500. I guess we are getting a really good deal haha. I am hoping for a relaxed vibe and not formal at all (obviously)

It is kind of in the middle of nowhere so I guess that makes a little more sense. The venue is about 90 minutes away from a big city so I guess that makes a little more sense.

Rough breakdown: 

$9500 for food (cocktail hour apps/stations, and 4 course meal with champagne toast)
$4000 for open bar
$3500 for taxes/administrative fees/gratuity etc
$550 for ceremony chair rental 

No room/facility rental fee and no ceremony on-site fee (just renting the chairs) 
This is with a slight discount for a Friday wedding. 

We are inviting 120 guests, in Massachusetts.

Venue hire + Ceremony will be £500 and catering is about 1500. This is for 60 guests and includes chair covers and use of venue for the whole day till 1am. our meal is about £20 pp. My wedding budget is 3800. It will be a Saturday  September wedding.  I looked at a lot of venues. But then decided to get married in our home town at a venue that is accessible for my older relatives.

kelmpm7809:  Thank you, these are great options! We’ve only toured one venue so far in Mendocino. LOVED the town, not so much the venue. I actually live in Fair Oaks.
