I paid about 120 for me and yes that is pricey but I really love it!  I like the look and it has beading on it so its not like I could make it.

I’m borrowing it from my maid of honor — it’s just what I was looking for regardless.  I wish more brides would consider this — many veils are awfully similar.

My veil just arrived today from http://www.occanseydesigns.com/ !!!! I am so so happy with this purchase. I bought a cascading cathedral length veil with a 7/8 ribbon for 119.00.  I was quoted well over 300.00 at every bridal shop I went to with my request.

Thanks to the ladies on this weddingbee for suggesting them!

After searching the end of the internet, i can’t find any veil in the color i want, which is rum champagne, and since someone else offered to buy it, the veil is 190, but free to me! Can’t turn that down.

I got mine from ebay. 1 tier, chapel length, diamond white for $20. I want fingertip length, so my mom and I are going to chop it in half. Then we have one practice veil and one real veil. I couldn’t find any tulle in the right color so I couldn’t go completely DIY.

Mine was plain tulle on a metal comb. It was elbow length. It was about $30 from an Esty seller, Simple Beauty Veils.

I found my veil the day I found my gown at the bridal salon.  I fell in love with the veil but then discovered it was  a Malis Henderson creation which cost $450!  Yikes! In an effort to sell me my Jim Hjelm gown, the boutique threw in the Malis Henderson for FREE!!! I had already decided to buy the gown so the veil was just a HUGE bonus!

Later, i was also offered my grandmother’s wedding veil to wear.  I wore both (alternated them) on my wedding day.

I am re-vamping my mom’s (including the comb!) so mine will just cost me some time — no money!

Veils are surprisingly expensive! A family friend offered to have one custom made for me from the Philippines while she was there on vacation. It was such a money saver!

I got ripped off on my veil, I know that.  But my aunt had just given me a check for $250 to spend on my veil and headpiece, and there it was, the veil that was designed for my dress to match perfectly.  It was $200 at David’s Bridal.  Hopefully I’ll be able to sell it after the wedding, but I would not spend that much if I did it again.

I’m having a headpiece made for me by a milliner. It will be a birdcage veil on a comb with a beaded white bow to one side. I’m very excited about it! I went to his office and we talked over my ideas first and I got to try on some of his amazing creations.
