I abhor it--I can't look at it, smell it, or eat it

I don't like it--it's just not my thing

It's ok--it's what you are supposed to eat on the holidays, so I eat a little spoonful

I like it--I eat it like a normal person (once a yr, normal serving)

I love it--I eat tons of it!

I'm OBSESSED with it--me, eat a dinner, without green bean casserole? Ha!

    Take it or leave it.

I would not make it for myself but if it’s there I’ll take a spoonful to be polite.

Green Bean Casserole is not a standard at our holidays.

No green beans for me, please! It’s the one vegetable that my mother really, really loved to eat year-round, so I’ve had my fill for a lifetime.

@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: Me too. Especially with green things… I can’t stand broccoli soup either.

I eat it.  Not a real traditional holiday side dish in my New England family until our kids were born, because my mom was trying to find something for the grandkids to eat.  So they thought it was a NE tradition.

    Holiday musts:

    “Root”  or Fall vegetables

Turkey (except my DH is allergic to it)-so not for us.  🙁

    Pumpkin Pie

    Stuffing

    Cranberry sauce

I fuckin’ LOVE green bean casserole. But ONLY the stuff my grandma (or aunt, depending on who’s cooking) makes. I’ve tried plenty of other peoples’ green bean casseroles and they just weren’t the same. My grandma (or aunt) has the magic touch, I guess.

I’ve been obsessed with the stuff ever since I was old enough to eat solid food. It’s just not a Thanksgiving/Christmas without it. Unfortunately since I started dating Fiance we have done 3 Christmases and 4 Thanksgivings with his family and only one Christmas with mine (his fam is all local, mine is all reeeeeally far away in multiple locations) so I’ve been extremely deprived of my beloved casserole the past 3+ years. His mom and his aunt both make their versions of it, but it’s seriously not anywhere near the same.

I love green bean casserole. But I only eat it once or twice a year (either Thanksgiving or Christmas, or both). I actually didn’t start eating it until a few years ago because I thought it looked gross, but I finally decided to try making it and loved it.

I’ve never really had it… we always had broccoli casserole growing up, which is yummy in my tummy.

A casserole is really the only way I’ll eat green beans and even then I don’t really like it.

Green beans just aren’t my vegetable.
