37 in Southern California, in my 13th year teaching middle school, $78k. Next year it’ll be $89k because I’ll have completed 60 credits of post-graduate classes. It’s a lot of work but I can’t complain 🙂

28, PhD candidate, Europe, $37k (under current exchange rate)

I’ll move into the private sector job market and leave academia at the end of this year as my contract is up so hopefully I’ll see a salary increase with the new job, whatever it may be. I’m hoping to go into consulting or project management but time will tell!

34, Boston suburbs, $150K + 30% bonus & other profit sharing, doing talent & leadership work in financial services. I started my career in consulting (80% travel) which is how I got my base salary up so quickly. And I won’t pretend there are a ton of companies that pay what I make for many HR positions. I’ve worked hard and I’m grateful

I’m 26, live in NJ. I’m a freelance designer. Between that and the occasional nannying job I make between $15,000 and $19,000 a year.

I would just like to provide you all with this image, as it has always seemed to be true:
