It depends how busy we are otherwise. Right now he’s super busy so we don’t get a ton of time to hang out and I feel like I miss him even when he’s with me lol. Like I can be snuggling right up against him and I’m not close enough. I am a total dork! I just don’t handle minimal time well.

I miss my man a lot, but some days I’m happy to have the space. I like a good balance πŸ™‚

Honestly…I enjoy the independence! I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love my hubby and I look forward to our nights and weekends together. But I don’t desperately miss him while we’re at work.

We are pathetic losers when it comes to this. We are no good without each other for more than a few minutes. Our friends are really sweet and super understanding about it and luckily we both get along with each others group of friends extremely well.

That said, we CAN do things without each other, for example I am heading to book club right after work tonight and won’t get home until around 10ish, but we just PREFER to be together. I don’t think the ladies at BC would appreciate a MAN there though πŸ˜‰

I know exactly what you mean CorgiTales!  We’ve been together for 5 years and I still miss him when we’re apart too long or if we’re having a really busy week!

Sometimes I don’t feel like I miss him enough and that that’s a bad sign but I think I’m just getting used to the whole long distance thing after he was overseas all last year and now is in business school 8 hours away. When we are actually around each other, I miss him if he goes to class or something like that.

@sarahd07: I totally get that. When Fiance is not at all busy with work or studying, we’ll have weeks where we can hang out every night and all weekend and I’m a-ok during the day. But when I don’t get much alone focused time with him I get kinda nutso πŸ™‚

@pumpkinpatch: lol yep. why must our men be busy? JK. Honestly if he was around ALL time time it’d probably bug me I guess because I really do like having “alone time.” And absence makes the heart grow fonder and all the crap… heh

@pumpkinpatch:  @kitzy:  I am exactly the same way.  And I sometimes wonder if that’s normal. I was never that way with my ex-husband.  But I am now.  I’m glad to know I’m not the only one.

Fortunately, he is the same way.  I got a text about thirty minutes after he left for work this morning that said, “I miss my wife.”

I miss him more when I know he’s travelling or away longer than the work day — I’m fairly busy during the day myself, but it’s in the evening that I generally start to miss him more acutely (not that I don’t miss him, I just miss him more sometimes).
