I was just looking on Facebook, and a friend is selling a pair of jeans that she bought for $115. I am kind of in shock! I realize that there are jeans that cost that much, and more, but it is kind of shocking to me that people are willing to pay that much!
Personally, I do 95% of my jeans shopping at Gordman’s, because I just cannot justify spending a ridiculous amount of money on a single pair. My husband used to be big into name brand jeans from Aeropostale, American Eagle, etc., but since I took over clothes shopping, he’s had to just deal with them not being that.
On average, how much do you spend on ONE pair of jeans? Is there an absolute max that you will not spend above?

I won’t spend more than $50. I’ll shop anywhere, sales, coupons, clearance. I noticed that most jeans are around $100 these days. Geesh!

The last pair I bought was $196 (J Brand skinnies). I don’t wear jeans often and only buy a new pair every couple of years, though.

I buy pretty much the same pair in different shades. They are the skinny kick jeans at American Eagle. They are kind of a blend between skinnies and flares and I love them! I always go during big sales though so I usually pay about $35-$45.
ETA: I would pay up to $100 for jeans that fit my body right. I’m just lucky to have finally found a brand/style for this price.

There’s nothing like the fit & longevity of Paige Premium jeans. Granted I have a super long inseam & it’s hard to find jeans to fit. I’ll gladly pay for them when they easily last 2-3 times as long as others.

Typically I spend $50-$100. I am obsessed with Seven For All Mankind jeans and have quite a few pairs. But, I only buy them when they are on sale and have found them at Marshall’s, local boutiques and online at great sale prices. I love the way they fit and the colors/washes that they come in.

The most expensive pair I bought was around $120 but that was awhile ago when I wasn’t paying my own bills. Nowadays I’ll spend $45-$50.
My go to store is American Eagle. I can always find the perfect pair there.

i voted $50 plus. I’ve found that the less expensive jeans do not fit me well (I’ve tried Target brand jeans, Old Navy, jeans from Jc Penny’s, etc) and sometimes the quality isn’t that great. I like jeans from Express (usually $60 or so) and I love Joes jeans ($120) – they both fit my curvy but petite frame. If I could find a pair of less expensive jeans with decent quality, I’d be all for that.

I spend $30-$40 if I can on my jeans. I work in a causal, but you must wear pants, environment so I wear them every day year round. I wear my jeans out pretty fast by walking at least 2 miles a day in them. I usually buy my jeans from Fleet Farm, a kind of farm-centric hardware store. They carry jeans meant for people working on farms and in construction, and they are usually much more durable than the more designer or name-brand jeans. I replace my Fleet Farm bought jeans every 8-12 months. I once got a pair from Old Navy and they only lasted about 3-4 months for the same price.

Depends on the occasion I’m buying for. For my everyday jeans, I spend up to $50 because my body type is tough to shop for (I’m a very muscular size 2, so jeans are hard to fit). But I do have some trendier jeans that are closer to $100 which I’ll wear to parties or a night on the town.

My upper limit on jeans is about at $20. I have issue with chub rub and it absolutely destroys any pair of jeans – it’s just a matter of time before it happens, and it’s hard to predict which jeans will fare better than others.
Because of that, I buy jeans almost exclusively at thrift stores. I pay about $7-10 dollars per pair, max. Often, they don’t fit that well but it’s just not an option for me to spend more money than this on clothing that I will destroy in short order.

It depends. Unfortunately, most jeans don’t fit me correctly or aren’t flattering. AE jeans fit great, except that they’re obscenely low rise. I always get them on sale when I need jeans. I have a pair of Express skinnies that I love, and I think they retail for $70, but I definitely got them for like $40.
I’m super picky with my jeans, too. Darker wash, NO embellishments, no pocket flaps, VERY little to no distressing. Those are hard to find AND have them not be $$$ AND be flattering AND fit correctly AND not need me to get a bikini wax to wear.

My favorite jeans are the Lane Bryant Trouser jeans, they don’t come in petite though so I usually need to get them altered. They cost me about $70, but they make my butt look amazing so it’s worth it to me. I fit normal store sizes for the most part but since I have a rather large thigh/butt combo, shopping at Lane Bryant gives me a better look and fit.

Good jeans are well worth the price! I’m super picky about my jeans, so will pay a lot for them, but I wear them constantly and they hold up great over time and threw tons of washes!
