Jeans are one thing I actually like to buy second hand…I hate breaking them in! Also, when you buy second hand from a consignment store you’re typically looking at $40 for a $150 brand name pair of jeans, which is pretty awesome.

Clothes are something I have no problem splurging on. If you buy from a high quality brand/designer, yeah, they will cost twice as much but they will last so much longer. Heck, I have a few dresses that my mom bought when she was my age! It’s a choice between several meh looking pieces that you buy over time and one really amazing piece, so to me it all balances out in the end.

My Jeans are ALWAYS under $50.00 and ususally on sale. I won’t even look at anything over that, its not worth the price. My favorite pair were on sale for $25.00 from Mark’s Work Warehouse, they are skinny jeans with an elastic waistband. They are awesome 🙂

I usually buy my jeans from Gap Factory Outlet for around $30. I get the shortest inseam and then have to get them hemmed two more inches (I’m a shorty) for an additional $9. They are actually very long lasting and fit my body well.

I am definitely in the $50+ category – I’m with the pp’s who have a hard time finding cheap jeans that are dark wash, no embellishments, and high-quality. My faves are Paige, Joe Jeans, and James Jeans. I wear jeans to work every day (I work somewhere very casual!) so I have 5 or 6 pairs of jeans that I wear throughout the week. I try to buy them at Nordstrom Rack, so they’re usually $120-$180 marked down to $70ish.

I think the most I’ve spent recently is $30, but normally I don’t like to spend more $20 because I know I can get them for cheaper. I love GAP sales when I can luckily score a pair of jeans, sometimes for between $7.47 and $14.99! 🙂

it depends: I USED to buy my jeans at Kohls, until they started only carrying skinny jeans (YICKY ON ME!!).. I buy levis.. I’m hoping I can still find the “model” jeans that I like on their website.. I used to pay ~$12 at kohls on sale with a coupon (last time I bought jeans was more then a year ago).. I also just got some old navy jeans for $7/each on sale w/coupon!! I’m afraid to see what the jeans would cost on Levi’s website >,<

I really like “Silver” Jeans, which are around $100-$120

Lol me and my mom used to go theft store shopping and 12 bucks for a pair of jeans was a lot to her. So most of my jeans (that don’t fit anymore :,( ) were 5-20 bucks. And most expensive is my pair of… Levis? I forget what brand but 30 bucks I think…

I normally buy Sevens, True Religoins or Citizens and those range from $100-$150.

I absolutely adore denim. Some women like shoes or purses. I’d wear the same black flats every day if I could have all the denim I wanted!
I used to (in high school and early college) limit myself to less than $50 on jeans just because I wanted so many. I only had a few pairs that were more expensive. I had a pair of $180 jeans I bought for my senior pictures and that was my max and I think still is. I now work in retail, at a store that sells designer jeans, and I get half off. I still spend $40-$60 but I get much higher quality now!
I really want to know how many pairs is normal to have. I have probably about 20 pairs. As soon as I got my new job I threw out 8 pairs because they were worn/frayed hems and I knew I’d replace them anyway. It wasn’t until then that I realized how many I have lol

@Twyla_Smith: $20 is the most I am comfortable spending on jeans.
ETA I now see I’m very cheap compared to everyone else responding! I get my jeans at Old Navy and Aero. Those always look best on me. Though I bought a pair on clearance at Express and I LOVE them!
I just have to share this!

@weddingbound: haha you just wrote I what I was about to! Lol
those brands are my favorite ones, band basically the only ones I buy, I just love the fit and style! Never bought MEK tho! Whenever the hubby needs a new pair, I’m getting the Rock Revival.
