Spending a lot of momey on accessories isn’t something that I usually do. Actually, until recently I guess the last “accessory” that I purchased was back in the fall and it was a purse. However, this horrible winter has caused me to really look forward to spring. There’s something about all the cute spring colors….I’ve been buying scarves, jewelry, and hair accessories at an alarming pace. Luckily, I haven’t spent that much but I don’t think I can stop! Lol.
So how often do you buy accessories and how much do you spend?

@dayl20: Like… nothing. I tend to not focus on accessories, although every once in a while I see something that I absolutely have to have… right now, it’s a chocolate brown leather purse. Sigh.

Probably very rarely?
I pick something specific and save for it. Last month, I finally bought a J. Crew necklace I had on my must-buy list for several months. I’m planning on wearing it for my wedding, and I’ve already used it several times. I’m happy with the purchase!
My last purchase before the necklace was a Balenciaga purse in July, that I planned to purchase for a full year before when I started to plan my trip to Paris. I don’t foresee purchasing any other accessories until I get some monogrammed leather goods with my new married name post-wedding.
I like to accessorize, but I don’t like to buy things. I mull over a purchase for a really long time before committing.

Nothing. I don’t wear much in the way of accessories. I did buy a new bag this month, though, b/c my old one was fraying and looked TERRIBLE. But I got it at the local market and haggled ten bucks off the price. 😀

Almost never. I generally only buy clothes/accessories when I actually need them. I think the only accessories I’ve bought in the last year were my wedding shoes ($14.50), a tongue stud for the wedding ($15?) and some jewelry bought on our honeymoon, which was more souvenir than jewelry. Honestly, I have too much stuff as it is. I don’t want to get more stuff unless I really need it. I should get rid of stuff, but it’s harder for me to get rid of stuff than to just quit buying new stuff!

@dayl20: Per month? Nothing. But randomly I’ll go on a kick about needing new earrings and every 3-6 months I buy a new purse that’s normally under $50. Either way, it never adds up to much!

Shoes? A LOT. I’ve been really into them lately, I bought like three pair back to back. Two were on sale *cough*. :p.
Jewelry, very rarely! :/ so many cute items but I bought four pairs of earrings (tiny topaz studs, black & white opal studs & these hanging types) & I lost a stud of each pair! :/ I swear I take them off when I go to sleep, put them on side/ coffee table & the next day one is missing. I suspect my dogs may have something to do with it… Dh ordered me a pretty necklace a week ago, can’t wait til it gets here(:
Scarves, I bought one a month or two ago buti use it frequently only alternating between two others. I’ll probably stock up when they go on sale.
Bags, if expensive I only but 1-2 a year maybe less. On my wish list is a leather cross body.
I *usually* don’t spend much but I went crazy the past couple of months! So total for the above mentioned products I bought recently err, 300 ish just counting the past couple of months. It’s probably going to be just 100ish per month for rest of the year… Hopefully.

@dayl20: per year I buy 1-2 purses, 2-3 scarves, and 1-2 necklaces or other pieces of jewelry. I don’t really buy cute hair things, but now that my hair is getting so long maybe I should. I also don’t wear earring, otherwise I would probably buy those a lot. I also probably buy 4-6 pairs of shoes a year.

Practically nothing. I don’t accessorize with jewellery, so I just have my same everyday stuff that I’ve worn for years. I buy a new bag maybe once every year or two.

I just added it up and I probably spend about $100 a month on acessories if we are including bags and shoes.

Some months I’ll buy something, others I wont.. So its tough to say. The last accessory I bought was a Louis Vuitton scarf, in January. I did buy a new overnight bag this month, but not sure if that counts as an accessory..
I would estimate I buy a new accessory every 3-4 months on average.. sometimes its more, sometimes its less.

I buy 1 handbag a year, so that’s $250 (or less!)
I probably add 4-5 new pairs of shoes each year, so that’s another $400ish. Shoes are my weakness. I kinda already bought 3 pairs this year, so I’m likely going to exceed my allowance this year. Momma wants some red patent Tieks, needs new snow boots, and needs a new pair of dressy boots.
I don’t buy much jewelry, scarves, hats, etc. I want to buy some jewelry, but everytime I pick something up I talk myself out of it. I can’t seem to pull the trigger, so to speak. So that category is maybe $75 a year.
Total $725 a year/$60 a month (I was afraid to add it up, but that’s actually not too shabby for me. I’ve really cut down on shopping in the last few years. 🙂 )

Probably usually zero. Then when I do buy something, it might be a $30 belt, or something that costs way more. I do have handbags in the four digit range (but not tons and tons of them, only when I find one I really really know I’m going to love and use a lot).
I don’t like to shop regularly…. I don’t enjoy shopping like a lot of people seem to. But when I find something that I think would make my life better, I buy it.

Oh my…not sure if I should answer this question, lol.
Honestly: I spend a lot on this type of thing. I don’t keep track of a monthly average, but yeah. Silk scarves, sunglasses, and jewelry are my big accessory vices. I splurged on some gorgeous purple leather driving gloves from one of my favorite designers this winter.

I think I spent around $200 or so last year (a few necklaces, 1 earrings, 1 small bag) which is averages to $16 a month.
I haven’t bought anything this year.
