(Closed) How much do you tip your hairdresser?

I believe the typical rule of thumb is 15-20%…but it’s a personal thing. I’ve been going to my girl for years, and she still charges me the same rate as she did 6 years ago even though they’ve gone up, so I usually tip her about 25%,

I would probably tip $20, maybe $15 if you don’t love the work. Either way, those numbers get you solidly in the 15-20% tip range, which I think is always good. 🙂

My hairdresser is my friend, so I usually tip her quite a bit more because she is still in school and I know she could use the extra money. Plus she deserves it.

I tip 20% of the amount for services, which would be $20 in your situation.

You are lucky your cut/color is only $100!  I would do $20 on that – and give $5 if you have someone different wash your hair.
