Our venue requires that we have at least a day of coordinator for the wedding, to oversee setup and breakdown (and to be honest, I would want one anyway!). I’ve looked at a bunch of wedding planner websites but none of them have pricing information available. Perhaps unrealistically, in our wedding budget I estimated $1,000 for a coordinator. In my head it seems reasonable, since we’ll be doing everything up to the day of the wedding itself. But I don’t know if it’s actually realistic.
If you hired a day of planner, how much did you end up paying?
FWIW our wedding will be in Sonoma, so I expect a planner would be pricier than other areas.

I’m in the DC area, though we got married elsewhere in Virginia but the DOC we hired does DC and Virginia. She charged $1750 I believe it was. Even though it was just for the day, there was preplanning meetings and a workbook to complete to make sure nothing got missed in terms of setup and what needed to get done. Although I initially was hoping for less pricey, she was worth every penny. I think other coordinators we looked at charged similar amounts.

We paid ours 1500. We live in the Midwest. She was worth every penny.

Most of the ones we looked at were 1500-2500 in the Midwest. We did find one for $950, but it was only 1 out of the 10 we quoted

I’m in San Francisco. We hired a full blown planner, but most of those also offer a DOC service. The price range I’ve seen in San Francisco for a DOC is $2500-$4000.

We paid $1400, from the northeast. There were lower bids that we got from other vendors but we wanted the best value for the money and planners we could trust, keep us on schedule and take care of emergencies that arose. Completely worth it since we didn’t have to worry about anything except enjoying our day

arosen : I got married in Sonoma. I had a partial planner for around $3k. That included coordinating all the deliveries in advance (which were extensive), three people on site day of, and a bit of help with decor planning. We had to bring everything in, so he was well worth the price and helped me save money with other vendors.
