$350 for dress and $150 for lace coat to wear over it, at a Brides Against Breast Cancer event. I DIY’ed my (extremely minimal) alterations (all it needed was some hemming on the underskirt).

The original price of the dress was around $1000, the lace coat was originally part of an entirely different dress, I don’t really know what it would have cost retail (other than I may have had to buy the whole second dress, which I would have refused to do).

Mine was $1800 plus alterations plus veil.  It’s a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I can’t imagine wearing anything else.  I was the sappy bride who cried when I looked in the mirror. LOL

My dress was $1185, alterations were $450. Don’t remember tax but probably another hundred bucks. So total was around $1700

My dress cost 19.99!!! Yes 19 dollars and 99 cents and I am in love with it. I found it at Marshall’s if any of you are from an area that has a marshall’s or a TJMaxx.

Mine was a sample Romona Keveza 2009 gown, regular $3800, bought for $1400. It will need alterations of about $300.

@Sminthy:  Don’t believe everything you see on TV.  LoL.  There are plenty of nice designer gowns that are much more reasonable than what gets played on the TV shows.

That being said, I ended up spending about $2500 on my dress, which is exactly what I budgeted for my dress.  My runner-up dress was about $1200 at Bridals by Lori.

Mine was $2300. I had a $2000 budget but I stretched it a bit because I loved my dress! I need to add alterations, shoes and accesories now…

I happened to catch a local bridal store just as thier retirement sale was starting! So I got a steal on a sample for $300. I haven’t started alterations yet, but they have quoated me about $100 and I plan to add a sash (>$100). So everything should come in under $600.

My runner up dress was going to be just below $1k.

I paid $55 for a silk BCBG destination wedding dress in one of the BCBG outlets, it was the last sample dress and was originally $1200. I was amazed that I fit in it. I budgeted about $500 for the dress originally. I was not going to pay thousands for the designer labels. I was happy to save $450 🙂
