@Syzygy88:  🙂 But who cares how they view their own lives, especially if we don’t know the whole story?  For someone with a chronic illness or “invisible disability” it can very well feel like a job to them.  If it’s not to you, great, but why so much judgment?  Like I said, I never really knew anyone personally with that kind of life since I became an adult so I don’t understand why they deserve such criticism.

@Syzygy88:  I worked 25+ years. I put myself through University and paid for it on my own without any outside help or scholarships. I was diagnosed with Lupus six years ago and worked until three years ago when my illness made it impossible for me to work.  I do what I can when my Lupus is in remission, which hasn’t been that often this year.  I have had 45 days this year where my lupus has been so bad that I could not function, drive or even lift a coffee pot.

You don’t know me, so don’t assume anything about me without finding out the facts.

And by the way, the only one who should be concerned about me “living off my husband’s income” is my HUSBAND. And he doesn’t look at my not work as living off his income, because what is his is mine and what is mine is his. But regardless of what he thinks, it’s not any of your business and you have no right to judge how I live my life.

So go off to your job, trade your time for money, and be smug in the knowledge that you’re better than every Stay-At-Home Wife and Stay-At-Home Mom out there, because you have a career and get a paycheck.

@theone99:  How do you know they don’t do a thing outside of the home. You cannot know that, because it is an assumption and there are no statistics to base your assumption on.  I know a LOT of Stay-At-Home Wife, maybe because I’m older, but all of the women I know do things outside of the home. They would be bored if they didn’t.
