I want to get my body fat measured, where can I do that?
I want to get my body fat measured, where can I do that?
As a personal trainer I worked out a ton before getting pregnant and during my pregnancy with no issues. I am 5’9″ and was 112 when I started TTC.
Unless you are working out so much that your body fat goes way down and your period stops you should be fine UNLESS your doctor says thereis something else going on. If your body is used to working out regularly and hard you should be fine.
thanks for the advice! I feel better.
If you have an irregular cycle or body fat below a certain athletic percentage, you can have difficulty conceiving. Most people, realistically, don’t exercise enough to cause problems, though.
All signed up for the tirathlon in June! Just a sprint one, and I already have been training a ton. Hopefully it won’t be an issue!
i went off the pill in the beginning of november, ran a marathon Nov 17 and we started trying right after. was pregnant after 2 cycles. after the marathon i did cut back quite a bit on my running, though.
The amount of exercise you’re doing per week is normal. Last I read the statistics, I think the going theory was that in excess of 7 hours per week starts to increase your odds of having a miscarriage, and it could also delay or prevent pregnancy (keep in mind that could be correlated with exercise injury — if you’re working out more, you’re likely in better shape and you’re likely engaging in more risky workouts while pregnant…i.e., falling risk while running).
For OP, body fat could be an issue — while not underweight, you are on the lower end of a “normal” BMI. It sounds like you’re already using BBTs (do you use ovulation tests?). Chances are that if BOTH of those are checking out, you’re probably fine.
I very rarely had any EWCM in the 10 months I was trying to conceive — still got pregnant. Do you get watery CM? If you’re getting watery, at the least, you should be OK.
My main concern is I burn a lot of calories because I eat a lot.. and if I stop burning, I’ll start gaining!
