My FH and I are having a casual dinner reception with burgers, brats, salads, and such. We did not send out RSVP’s because we have a lot of verbal invites and sending actual invites to mostly family and old family friends. The caterer is saying that if we think 450 are coming, then only 350 will show. We are sending out invites to a total of 450 people, that doesn’t include the verbal invites, which my FH has bothered keeping track of who he actually invited. And my motto is ‘To much food is always better than not enough.’ What do you guys think? Should I listen to the caterer and worry about running out or say we want food for 500 and call it good?
