Wow! I need to figure out were everybody is getting their flowers from! I am hoping to keep my flowers within a $500 price range. However, I guess tropical flowers are more expensive in November? The closest price for 10 centerpieces, 6 bridesmaids single flowers, my bouqet, and 7 men’s boutonnieres was $800-ekkk! Too much!

My fiance and I are spending $10K for everything, dress, honeymoon, rings, wedding, full deal. However, we don’t bump the flower price down we’re going to be in trouble!

Wow…..some this flower prices are  alot. I was thinking today about my flowers. My entire wedding budget is around $11,000 and I see someone’s flowers cost that much. I’m thinking about mixing real and fake flowers. I still checking out flower places. 🙂

We’ll be getting:

Bridal bouquet (garden roses/dahlias)

4 bridesmaid bouquets (same as bridal bouquet but a little smaller)

4 groomsmen boutineers (cream roses)

2 bouts for the grandpa’s that will be attending (same)

4 chest corsages (cream roses)

toss bouquet

And all of that is costing us just under $800 which I was quite happy with because we got quoted for $4,000 for a little less stuff >.> from another florist.  Ouch.

Our wedding budget is around $10k.  We’re in the DC metro area and I think we’re doing darn good.  A friend of mine just went to a 45k wedding at a location close to our venue.  Pssh, nope.  Shop around y’all!  Our budget listed above does not include our wedding bands or honeymoon.

I think you have to manage expectations about what you’ll be getting for your money.

I had got the following for $2,500:

2 buffet flower displays

2 ceremony displays

candles around a fountain

flowers for 7 cocktail tables

17 centerpieces

4 corsages

10 bouttonieres

5 bridesmaid bouquets

1 bridal bouquet

1 flowergirl bouquet

1 toss bouquet

My budget was $50,000

Those that are paying less for flowers aren’t having as many at their wedding.  You just need to decide how you want your wedding to look and how many decorations you need.

Our flowers were ~$1,500 and we used a local flower farm. I was really happy with how the flowers turned out. Still seems like a lot of money for flowers though. Total for the wedding was ~$22,000 (that’s for everything).

For the $1500 we received:

my bouquet

2 bridesmaid’s bouquets

1 bout for the flower dog

6 bouts for the gentlemen

12 centerpieces

2 large ceremony arrangements (which were later moved inside for the reception)

flowers for the cake and my hair

flowers for the moms

I am spending less than $300 for all things floral for the wedding.  My florist is providing me with:

My bouquet and toss bouquet

6 Bm’s bouquets

5 bouts

Flower girl basket and petals

20 centerpieces

Petals for the tables

I do need 4 more bouts and 2 mom’s bouts and some tossing petals so I need to wiggle her to see if she will throw these in for an even $300.

I love flowers!  Our venue is practically in the middle of nowhere and there certainly aren’t any Costcos or BJs around.  We were limited on florist options so we went with the best price we could find for the quality.

1-my bouquet

11- bout.

7-corsages

4-ceremony arrangements

1- Chuppah decoration

petals for the aisle

20- aisle markers

12- centerpieces

1- Sweetheart table arrangement

1- escort card table

10- cocktail tables

3- wreaths

I am Partial DIYing.  I have all the glassware, pearls for the vases, branches, wreaths and candles.  The florist is bringing and arranging the flowers in my set centerpieces.

We will be spending about $4,000 on flowers including the setup and 45 minute delivery fee.

Total wedding budget around $45,000.

$478 for flowers

  • $148 – bride’s bouqueT
  • $115 – Maid/Matron of Honor bouquet
  • $61 – boutonnières (4)
  • $84 – corsages (4)
  • $50 – delivery

Our centerpieces are potted plants (in baskets) that family members have been growing for us.

We’ll have an archway (built by FI’s grandfather) that’s decorated in ivy and will be flanked by two flowering trees (hydrangea?) also growing in pots in FMIL’s yard, ready to be taken to our venue.

Our wedding budget is about $12k.

1. 185 for reception flowers. Around 35 for silk flowers for bouquets.

2. No specific budget just as low cost as possible. It’s probably going to be around 2-3k

@JM1217:  Woah! Where did you get your flowers, if you don’t mind me asking?

Did you DIY or go with a florist? If you DIYed, I still find $1300 for that many flowers to be an amazing price (and your fingers must be so blistered!). If you went with a florist, I would love to know who.

We spent about $2000 on flowers. This included my bouquet, 2 bridesmaids, toss bouquet, 3 coursages, 10 boutineres, 21 centerpieces, and 3 head table arrangements.  The flowers were mostly white and purple roses, with some hydrangeas and plum carnations.

Total wedding budget was about $40,000.

We’re spending $6,500 on flowers and our overall budget will end up being somewhere between 35-40K.

The 6,500 covers: 5 bouquets, 8 boutineers, 2 corsages, rose petal aisle with candles, an archway, 11 cocktail hour centerpieces, floral display for our escort card table and 14 large centerpieces. Were repurposing the ceronmy archway potted arrangements for the guest book table and gift table.

$250 for silk bouquets/bouts/corsages (mostly DIY), and that’s all the flowers we’re having. Our budget is about $10,000 including everything but the honeymoon and rings.

So the goal is under $3000. We were quoted at like $2,989 or something super close. But, of course, as expected, I want to completely change my flowers and palette (typical me!), so we’ll see! Also, we’re aware that once everything is said and done it may go above $3,000.

The only thing we budgeted was for venue + alcohol + food to be under or around $15,000. Everything else I’ve just met with 3-4 vendors and determined what price is average and gone from there. For example, I met with 4 wedding coordinators and the one I really liked was quoting me $1900 for day of whereas another one who works our venue constantly and the venue recommends quoted me $900. $1000 is way too big of a cost difference for me.
