We are starting to shop for Fin’s ring in the last few weeks. The prices we are seeing are higher then I thought they would be. I have been told this is because the price of gold is high.
So just out of curiosity what did you spend on his ring and what type of metal did you get?
Post pics if you have them! We have all these threads about her ring. I wonder what guys are picking.

My FI’s 18k white gold ring is costing us around 2K. Originally we were going to get him Platinum, but the cost was more than double.

We picked up his ring from Helzberg Diamonds, it was $290. It’s a metal called Brute Cobalt. I’d never heard of it before, but it’s supposed to be stronger & way more scratch resistant than tungsten.

Gold is outrageous, fortunately for me, Fiance can wear regular gold band due to his work so I’m going with Titanium which is much stronger and will go with my wht gold set. Simple band, similar to those posted, probably under $300.

I paid $700 for Jim’s ring. It’s white gold with 9 diamonds (he says it’s one diamond for each position in baseball). It was more than I could afford, but he loves it, so it was more than worth it.

My Darling Husband ended up liking tungsten and seranite a lot, and chose the darker seranite in the end. Both metals are much cheaper than gold, so we paid $200 (with a lifetime warranty) for it when we made a deal to buy both our bands there.

Seranite version

Tungsten version

I went with titanium because we are on a budget and his ring won’t be worn at work due to jewelry restrictions. It was $50 (I am the mocha frugalista :o) )….

We got DH’s ring in titanium. It was $40. Darling Husband didn’t know if he would get used to wearing a ring, and he also works weekends on his family farm, and does he doesn’t wear his ring all the time. We went with a cheaper option, since we were looking at 1k for his ring, which we both thought was too much.

My husband’s is made of titanium and was $80, including engraving. We bought it on Etsy- its similar to the one posted by Smashley, so may even be from the same store.
